This is my 6 iron, I noticed today the black plastic thingy is coming away from the hosel.

1) Is it serious ?
2) Will it affect the club's performance?
3) Why did it happen ? Am I too strong ?
4) Do I need new irons ?

mike - same thing with my 3 iron - didn't really bothered me...coz if it got any worse (which I doubt), or rust started appearing (which hasn't) then good enough reason to bring out the TA6s...

but thanks for the tip trung... :D

mike - let me know how trung tip works out - I'll give it a try later on if I really bothered...

My handicap is still lower than yours, so I don't think I have too much to worry about.
