Right enough of this Nicely Nicely Stuff.

Let's Fire Up WAnkers. I know DC68 is unbackable, but I am here to tell you I am bringing him down. After Taking Canuck to the final hole playing off the stick, My 7 shots should ease Victory half way around the back, where Johnny and I can just cruise into the 4bbb Points.

Me and My Trusty Partner JC, will be sweeping the Best the YEasites have to offer, with 3 Vitals points secure in our back Pocket.

Hocko and Simmsy will partner very well and will intimidate the East Boys by having to search for clubs as well as balls. Prediction WA 2 - East 1.

id is over Handicapped, so will pick up the point. He'll keep Nut in the game, and will put the NQ'ers too sleep with his Zen Like Putting routine with the added bonus of Jet Lag, Hangover and Lugging around those Sand bags. Will be Tight, probably our most out of form Pairing WA 1 - East 2.

Fit is in Great Form, will talk Marto's ear off and his partner will be on a high after winning there playoff to get into the team. WA 2 - East 1

JC and I will really only need 1 point, but will runaway with the 3 points regardless. WA 3 - East 0

home ground will always help, and Bunbury isnt exactly a simple track. I reckon the yeasties will have the most trouble on the greens, apparently thats where the biggest differences are.

Lefty,

Back in the 1990s, a lot of golfers wore oversize shirts (just look for a picture of Chris DiMarco to see what I mean). Like a lot of things in life, fashion is also cyclical, and is a very fickle game. Who would have thought that platform shoes, flares, and skinny ties would ever be back in style?

Well, they have been and the "large" shirt may well come back too.

I'll predict it'll be a waiting game that you'll most likely lose, but they will be in fashion again at some point.

Can we get a Post from the Captains regarding the Format. I think I understand but just want to make sure.

4bbb is best Stableford Score out of your team. Is this over 18 holes, or Mp?

MP is of Course MP between each Player, Nett Stroke score wins?

Is this Correct?

TourFit
24th October 2012, 12:45 PM
I thought that because we are playing individual MP games that the 4BBB was also MP?

Take the lowest 'capper in the group to scratch and the rest get shot differential from there. Align the shots for each player to the stroke index (or MP index if there is one) and then MP scores on that hole.

You may get a shot on the 4BBB game, but not the individual game!

Johnny Canuck
24th October 2012, 12:49 PM
Team match play & individual match plays. Best stableford score on hole wins.

Full handicaps for the team match and the individual matches. A few people have agreed to play off scratch in the individual matches, but full caps remain in the team game.

The team the won the previous hole has the honour.

Normal match play rules, furthest from the hole plays first.

That is nowhere near as positive, stylistic or upbeat as your own name. Or Shadesy's. Calling idgg a pygmy is also not positive. (I agree with Golfnut - the lowballer though)

I'm not Greek, so I must be the fat reference. That is nowhere near as positive, stylistic or upbeat as your own name. Or Shadesy's. Calling idgg a pygmy is also not positive. (I agree with Golfnut - the lowballer though)Personally, I think that there should be a reference in your group to Capt Slow (to borrow a Top Gear term) and his ass-istant. I think it may be appropriate under the circumstances. We will be lucky to get to Binny by 4pm.Just keep that duck bum waddling down the fairway and don't hold me up.

LeftyHoges
26th October 2012, 01:52 AM
What does the group of 5 wanna play? Some sort of skins game or something??

Play stableford with straight 10's.

Basically put 10 units /skins are available per hole. If one person wins a hole they get 10 units. If two people halve the hole they get 5 units each. If three or more people halve the hole it gets carried over to the next hole. So the next hole is worth 20. If two people halve it they get 10 units each, if one wins it they get all 20. If three or more people halve it it carries over to the next with thirty units up for grabs. Rinse and repeat until finished. Everyone pays everyone. So the basic thing is not to finish last in the unit stakes. Make the units 10c each (or even 5c if you're tight) and that way the most a person has to pay out is $9.00 if they finish stone motherless last with 0 skins / units.

All internet chatter has gone quiet as the Nullarbor Cup participants prepare for war. First shot will be fired in less than 45min. You can sense the nervous tension even from 100's of kilometres away.

Looks set for a magnificant day at the Bunbury Golf Club. Currently 15.8*C with 18kmh winds from the east. The temperature is expected to reach a max of 28*C, sunny, with light to moderate E/SE winds tending moderate S/SW in the afternoon.

All the best to all involved!

News updates for the punters at home contemplating placing some money on the event:

SMS - has complained of some tenting issues this morning. Seems he went to take panadol for the hangover and grabbed the little blue pills instead.. In danger of being penalised for carrying a 15th club now.

TourFit - has complained of a sore and bloody hand. The event Dr has diagnosed it as a moderate case of WAnkers cramp.

Simmsy - gave birth a couple of weeks ago, is lactating and hasn't had much sleep. His listeners on 6PR talkback are still backing him to perform though.

Golfnut - has attempted to lowball the already discounted green fees and is in danger of being refused entry.
