I challenge the winner of this faux champs. Was thinking of a couple of rounds in Melbourne during the Australian tennis Open. Can organize tickets and got connections for quality layouts.

If I win, and I'm not saying by any stretch that I will because I couldn't beat my way out of a wet paper bag at the moment, but IF by some miracle I do then you're on!

I have friends in Melbourne who owe me some accomodation favours...the timing is good, as I may tie it in with a visit to Western Vic (my wife's family) and then up to Northern NSW to see my brother.

I also have reciprocals with Woodlands, Southern, 13th Beach & Huntingdale!

My money's on Shadesy. Sounds like he's been in good touch; could be tough to beat on his home track come Sunday if he's got his nose in front after Busso.

Plus he plays his driver heaps, which I respect.

simmsy

Yeah shades showed once again on sunday that the lead is no place for him to be.
He only needed bogey on the last to win/dbl to tie the match and failed on both counts.

The guy can play but needs to get a win under his belt at club level priorto champs to rid himself of the demons in his sole at present.

Ok.... Unfortunately The Wandering Minstrel has had to withdraw from the champs.

So there is a spare spot for any late entrants, if anyone wants in.

Otherwise I have to tinker with the Accommodation today and also the Groups have changed Slightly. There is a couple of 3 ball groups that I cannot help, and those who have to get back to Perth on Saturday Night (re: Soft) are in the 3 ball leading off.

I have to confirm this with Busselton first, but should be OK. It means that I have swung a few people around so there is an even mix of groups over the 2 days and mix of East and Wests in each group.

Hopefully these are set, but I wont update them till a few weeks, to let everything to settle down.

Thanks for your patience.

Yes indeedy. Didn't think it would be that easy to fill the spot, did you?

Now assuming I just slot in for TWM, can I just say the groups may not work for Saturday / Sunday. I'm with Grumpy for both (and I certainly don't have anything against him), but I got the chance to play with him in the QLD champs, so in the interest of meeting and playing with new people....

If this is the way it has to stay then so be it and I'm more than happy with it, just making the small suggestion.

I'll look at the Groups again Lefty. I am working with Busso GC a bit as it is there comp and they booked the groups in for me. But I am striking a balance between WAnkers and Easterners as best I can. Certainly I am trying to avoid doubling up over the weekend.

I changed the groups around this morning and slotting you into the spare spots works very well. It looks good to me.

DC is going to be very happy with his new playing partners...Rubes may not be though.

I'll send you a PM involving all your payments after Lunch. I'll need your full name and golflink as well.

Its nice to see a Ranga actually make it to Champs for once.

Looking forward to seeing Nudgee, Lefty and Hocko in action. To date, Fit and Shadesy are the lowest cappers I've played a round of golf with, so will be interesting to see how the low single figure players go about it!

Rather play 9 to warm-up after a good breakfast. Not fussed about quality - more about just hitting some balls and seeing what the game is doing. Not a fan of the driving range before a round.

Dunny Lakes in a Cart?
Sounds good!
If we can use the BBQ, happy to start bacon and eggs from about 6.30 am for those that want it and head into Sanctuary, Capel or Dunsborough for 8am tee-off (where possible).
Cart sounds good if a 27-hole walk may be daunting for others.

I have access to a Kia Carnival that is a work car.

It fits 7 all though the back seat is a squeeze, so lets say 6 comfortably. Would fit a couple of bags in but not all if 6 travelled.

All I would ask is that you don't thrash it (which is not hard to do considering what it is) and pay for petrol.

I would need to pick it up before hand to get it ready but it may save some rental car costs for you easterners. I can even deliver to the airport as I can work from there if needed.

PM me or post here if interested.

OK New Groupings posted as I had 3 or 4 double ups.

This is probably the best I can come up with, I have een checked every person one by one and have assured that you play with 6 different People over the two rounds and at least 2 easties (for the WAnkers) over the weekend. The Easties should have plenty of WAnkers to get sick of by the end.

This was harder than I thought, and I am sorry if its not your Dream group, but remember we are all here to play golf, meet some new people and enjoy OzGolf together.

Cheers
