Unfortunately the awesome idea of the penthouse is no longer available as somebody has decided to stay the weekend. I'm happy for everybody to cruise up to my room again for Friday when numbers are lower but what about Saturday? We have the option to use the room downstairs (Lorikeet) which we used a few years back with the bar but it will cost us a reduced $400.00 room hire. Any love for this or would you all care to head on down to noise central at the Tav?

Then again, perhaps Goughy could pitch the band play there instead of that dross last year.

OK a decision has been made. I visited the Caloundra Power Boat Club this morning and was most impressed with the setup so we are going there. The club is about 3 minutes further away than the Tavern so the option of a cheap cab is there, however, they have a 20 seat courtesy bus which departs every half hour and they are prepared to do an extra shuttle for us since we are nearby.

The meals are priced between $15 and $30. I have made a booking for 40 people at 7:00pm. They will even be putting out OZgolf green placemats. Little things go a long way.

There is also live entertainment on Saturday night (god help us) but they are inside while we are in the undercover deck.

Hopefully this keeps everyone happy. It was good enough for me to join on the spot.
