Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I've got a mate coming along too. Hope that's alright. His name is Mark.

On another note, what is the go with the shithouse weather? I've heard that Redlands doesn't have the greatest drainage. Is this going ahead rain hail or shine, and can I borrow a canoe?

PeteyD

Drainage at Reddy is good unless you get really heavy rain. Years ago it was not.

Unfortunately, it has had lots of heavy rain overnight, and lots more today, and is pretty much a series of small lakes. More rain forecast as well. I will be surprised if they play tomorrow. If they do, it will be tee up and sloppy as hell.

Would wrapping them in garbage bags like casts work?

So basically you're walking around with the equivalent of a Porsche Cayman on each leg!

And I thought $300 for a pair of RM Williams boots was steep!

golfbound
1st June 2012, 06:01 PM
yep and i have a spare pair aswell

Wish the went as fast as a Porsche

It has been raining solidly in Cleveland for the last couple of hours, so I am getting less and less hopeful about Sunday.

1st June 2012, 10:25 PM
Being there today, I would be shocked If they play tmw. Surely carts will be a no go all weekend. The course is the wettest I have seen the place, I will keep my fingers crossed for you all.

Ferrins
2nd June 2012, 06:29 AM
Carts will be for the exclusive use of committee members and their load and obnoxious playing partners;)

Daves
2nd June 2012, 08:06 AM
"Today the course is open but tee up through the green. Carts are allowed."

The above is this morning's update on the website. They rarely stop carts at Reddie Bay, even in the worst of conditions. As Ferrins pointed out, most of the committee use them! The course will more than likely be open Sunday, but it will be very wet and sloppy conditions. Another 20mm+ overnight here won't have helped. Having played the last 3 days in the rain, I am not keen for a sloshfest, so I am out. Sorry Ben, will try to make another QAGA day.

Lobsta
2nd June 2012, 09:22 AM
Likewise mate. The weather is looking OK for now, but I have no impression that it will stay that way. And unless we get a heatwave today, the grounds will just be atrocious.

I'll work on making a game in the future, but we're out for this one.

golfbound
2nd June 2012, 03:30 PM
no problems guys good idea its far too wet for me to play aswell.
