When shaving. I've recently switched to gel, it provides the viscosity I am after.

Depends what you are shaving. And what you are using the gel for.

Brut 33 Shave Foam.

Also works well with wet-n-dry electric shaver. (Unlike the Nivea gel crap being advertised during the majors last year.)

Shaving soap from Shaver Shop. Can't remember the brand but it has menthol in it. It is the only thing I found that stopped the shaving rash. I found the creams and gels just didn't help at all.

I'd have to shave about 3 times a day for that.

OK,

You may go nuts believing this... but "Hair Conditioner" Not fussed which one you choose... but just try it before you dismiss it.

Rubb it into your beard, wait 30 seconds and shave... in a word, life changing... ok, maybe two words.

Enjoy

was anybody else particularly concerned where this thread could go when they saw the title and the poster who started it?

I have a particular gel i use. Foams etc are useless. I will try the conditioner one, as the stuff in the phillips electro shave is like conditioner.

That's not a good way of moving stock off the men's grooming shelves.

Same brand as Ferrins, except for the bit about Courty, I haven't shared a room with him. Courty that is. Or Ferrins.

Palmolive Rapid Shave Foam. I only shave Monday mornings after riding in to work. I just get scruffier as the week goes on.

Braun self cleaning model...doesn't need anything. Can shave wet or dry.

Went back to razors for a while before I bought the Braun, and was using some gel of some sort (it's frikkin' for shaving!)

Don't use anything except water and the blade. Also, the blade needs to be changed regularly - every 6 to 8 months.

Tip: buy razors from ebay - heaps cheaper 1/3 the price!
