Need some help getting some projects from the conceptual stage to completion.

1/ The Lagosi court putter needs to be engraved each year for the birdie comp winner at the Champs. 2012 virge. Engraved and paint fill I presume.
Q- Where to get it done
Q- How small a font considering some user names are long
Q- Where to engrave first.

2/ Collected a couple of Marlboro cigarette butts puffed by John Daly and was thinking of putting one in resin and turning into a perpetual long drive trophy for the Champs. "you smoked it" or something like that
Q-How to get the resin
Q-Bad idea to use a cigarette butt for any thing apart from binning it.

Just looking for help

You could try a trophy place for the first.

Mr fix it dudes up at the local shops will engrave it and I have read that I would need to paint fill it to stop it rusting. Does kryptonite rust?

Nah, just some Tamiya model paint. $4 for a small jar from toyworld...
Use some cotton buds to put it on, wait 24 hrs, go over it again and then once it's dried remove the excess with acetone...

Set the ciggy butt in a small glass ashtray, and then mix some clear Araldite epoxy. Pour over the ciggy butt and leave until it hardens (the epoxy, that is!)

Maybe a small plastic picnic style bowl, rather than a glass one ;)

Love your work. If you finish the ciggie trophy for 'smoking it' send it down to me in the meantime to trial it on the mantelpiece. I'll hand it to the next winner.

You'll need two ciggie trophies. Most likely one for each day.

Ferriet, I'll do the paintfill and engrave it if you want (seriously)

Only need one as long drive is on the Sunday round. Will keep one as spare in case perpetual is lost.

Will take you up on that

Completed my shaft spine locator yesterday using the metal base pipe of an old umbrella stand and 3 spare sealed free flowing ball bearings that were ear marked for an old ride on mower. Works a treat.
