Titleist, I like the Top Ten stuff, backing winners is too hard, Dave1 told me.

Is this just a random walk or are we/you looking back and weighting previous form on course or region, last couple of week results (momentum), field quality etc. Places like Hilton Head because of its finicky nature are great for a bit of formwork, Furyk, Boo and Zach, all top ten, all previous winners.

I'll do you a head to head, $10 a week. Whoever's player finishes highest they don't pay the next week, so the losers spend the following week is $20. Winnings into a shared kitty. Any interest?

Pretty thin field in terms of ranked players this week in Texas. I have put a few dollars on Kuchar, with a couple of savers on Appleby and Rocco at long odds.

Rocco pulled a heart muscle and the pin before the start. Appleby had an absolute shocker 2nd round and missed the cut by a lon way, so down to Kuchar who has had equal lowest round of the day to drag himself into the Top 10. Go Kuch!

From my understanding on Sportingbet, that is indeed the case. Has only missed one cut from 11 starts and shot -4 and -8 first two rounds last week. You'll know he'll be around for the weekend so at least he'll have four bites at the cherry.

Van Pelt is firing again in the 3rd round and so is some guy called Tiger, both sitting at -4 with three to play. Hopefully one of my tips can win outright otherwise I'll be splitting the win.

I bet mainly on the Majors, like PeteyD. You can safely eliminate a fair percentage of the field in a major, so make the odds a bit more attractive. I do have the occasional dip on PGA events, usually when I see someone running into a patch of good form, and at attractive odds for a top 5/top 10 finish etc. Plus the odd multi on head to heads, as a cheap way to have some interest in individual groupings/results.

Not the worst bet, he is 2/10 for Top 25s this season, and this is a relatively weak field to what he has been playing. Jones is still the standout Aussie though, and Bowditch needs to extract the digit!;)

I like the Euro/DP Tour and watched a lot of the last two rounds from Dubai.

If I was going to caddy for someone with massive upside in the next few years it would be Min Woo or Callum Shinkwin. Min Woo too short (odds) but gonna back Shinkwin every week this year, at 29 he may just be on the cusp.

I don't mind that strategy. I think it could work on the Euro Tour, but not on the PGA. The PGA events are too hard to win, and this year, you risk someone like Sam Ryder starting at short odds in the weak events, therefore losing even if he wins.

The trouble with Shinkwin is that he might have cut his odds dramatically after last week. He's a known performer. It might be better to look at the guys who came from nowhere last week, like Hidalgo did. I'd never heard of him before. One good performance often leads to a purple patch and an unexpected win.

Still, I hope it works for you, PG.
