Mark, I am in the same boat mate, I have played 1 round this year.
Maybe after the Masters my interest will pick up.

33 pts at Penrith, 1 birdie, 6 one's & a wipe. Just lightly cored greens, had five 3 putt bogey's (bloody sand). Hit to 45cm on a par 3 NTP, just found out a 26 marker had a hole in one. Great to see a great bloke hole out. If there are any of you out there who haven't hit a Matrix shaft of some sort, I thoroughly recommend them. Only my opinion but they are the business!

36 points (80 gross)

Shit start in the pissing rain - I was 3 points after 4 holes! Played the last 14 holes in one over par in the rain.

Drove it well 12/14 FIRM - love the ZL Encore - forgiving and long.

8/18 GIRs
31putts

1 Bird
10 pars
5 bogeys
1 Dbl

Played rather poorly today in the mug round, but did have 5 pars in there .... However the highlight was playing with the trainee pro and he was on fire. Had a 67/68, all 3s and 4s until the 8th (17th hole started on 10) where a bad bounce went in the water and he managed a triple, and a par 5 on the last hole. It was good to see someone hitting the ball as well as he did.

Pick an event and build yourselves upto it. Maybe the OZgolf Masters?
It works for me, as I know there will be ebbs and flows with my enthusiasm. I had a bit of a downcycle over summer, then built myself up for pennant season. Down again at the moment, but I keep popping out for a practice hit if I feel like it, and I'm currently looking for something to get myself up for again. Maybe Club Champs or something like that.

34pts at Windaroo to start my golfing weekend. Not too unhappy giving I had 4 points in 4 holes with 2 wipes and one par.

Making par is becoming easier and easier, but the others are hurting.
Although I learned that I don't play well post late night with a few drinks.
Oh well, medal tomorrow.

5 over at Lynwood CC. A double on the par 5, 9th didn't help after sending the drive in the drink. 1 over on the back helped. Got to extend the form for one more day for the Monthly medal tomorrow. Todays round would have had me in the mix.

14/18 greens. 13/14 fairways, 0/4 u&d's, 36 putts  Not putting bad but the approaches just aren't close enough. 100m in is killing me.

I played really well at Camden Lakeside today for 39 points, even though I didn't actually hit the ball perfectly.

While my driving and general long game was good, my irons weren't anything special, meaning a lot of long putts from either just on or just the green. The big difference was again my putting. I kept getting the first one within 3 feet, and then kept holing the little ones. It makes such a difference to the score when you don't throw away shots around the green.

I used to think I was Australia's worst 6 handicap. Now I'll be the worst 5, but if I play like today I might be able to stick to it for a while (I'll have to, as my next four rounds aren't counters).

36pts at the Bay in the Easter cup. Hit the ball great of the tee with all clubs but driver, luckily I only hit it 6 times. Irons from the fairway were really good as well. Putted ok, but missed a couple of short ones. Need to work on driver and shortgame

Stats:
FIR - 64%
GIR - 50%
Putts - 31/ 2.0 per GIR
U/D - 22%

Chop-a-thon in Medal at Windaroo.
92/77.

6 balls in hazards, and something coming loose in driver resulting in me hitting 4w from the tee for the whole second nine typified my round.
Again, pars were stupid easy, but the rest of it was just rubbish...

Oh well...

40 pts at reddy bay today. Best I have played since the operation, and my best round since playing to 14 in May last year. Could of been better too, but lost a tee shot that I hooked into trees on 2 for a wipe. 10/14 fairways, 31 putts, 6 pars. A few awful shots in there, but pretty happy all round. Wish I could play tomorrow or Monday to get the second round in for the Easter Cup. No pain or stiffness in the leg today, so all good :D

Same as above 40 points, 2 x 3 putts on 17 and 18 both resulting in bogies put a dampener at the end, but back to back 81's are very exciting!

Now to learn how to putt!

37 points at Pelican. I think that makes a dozen rounds on my record between 0 and 3 without having a single round under par. Ho hum.

GW Petey/Shadesy/Sasquatch, nice to get the easter off to a good start.

I had another average day for first monthly medal of the season, 94/78. 48f 46b.
Started out on the front ok, but 3 x triples in 4 holes killed the end of the 9. Back 9 was a bit better but not great.
Driving was a little better but still bad, putting stats were bad (5 x 3 putts) but had a lot of long putts today.
4 FW,8 GIR, 39 putts.

Highlights were a birdie on the first and an eagle on the 6th... 6 or so pars and the rest, really sucked!! At least my Ozgolf eclectic received some benefit :-)

36 pts in an absolute horrendous southerly!
Did not stop blowing the whole day.
Hitting it solidly, 7/12 f/ways with the SF 2 chucked, still getting used to it.
Gir's are ordinary, 33%
2doubles didn't help.......
30 putts with the Coronado.....8-)

nice sms!

Played stableford today with a mate and his gf (who is getting her 3 cards in). Saw my first hole in one (from her! in her first full 18 holes and about 4th time playing). Was on a short par 3, hit the cart path with a hybrid and ran over a ridge, onto the green and curved slightly left to right straight into the hole.

I had 30pts, a bad day with the driver and pretty bad with the irons too.
Only hit 2 FW and 0 GIR. 34 putts at least was an improvement with 4 x 3putts.
Handicap about to go out a shot back to 17 :( Have to pull my socks up soon or else its gonna go out to 18 in the next few rounds.

Rounds at Long Reef on Sat 7th and Sunday 8th for 34 points (78 off the stick) and 37 points (75 off the bat) - good conditions, no excuses, should have been better. Couple of missed short putts and crap 50% fairways hit - need to drive on the bloody fairways!
