No snip for me.

In my research I found that it increases the chance of testicular cancer.

My grandfather had that (lost a nut) but was ok.

The birth or the conception ?

Given there is a definite family resemblence for all 3 girls I'm hoping I was there for the conception!!

Jarro, improved today, but don't think I'd be playing - golf either.

Outcast and sms, as Dickie Bird said one time after being hit front and centre while standing at square leg, "Do you think you can do something about the pain and bruising while still retaining the size?" Welcome to Caboolture, have a nice day!

This morning's shower looked like the shower scene from Psycho. Fortunately it was only Betadine.

it aint IT that swells, its the nuts you wally and I can assure you swollen or not you dont want to be bouncing them around in any way shape or form. It takes close to 3 months to get over not having a reflex reaction on the couch when the kids jump on you.

After it's been done, is there any noticeable difference in the volume or viscosity of the baby batter? I've heard conflicting reports.

I'm about 8 weeks post having the snip

I didn't bother with the ice packs, I just wore two pairs of jocks for a few weeks which seemed to do the trick.

I had it done on a Tuesday and was back at work on Thursday, it was uncomfortable and sore but not too painful. Getting a 3yr old and 11 month old in and out of a two door car was fun the first few weeks!!

Made the mistake of going for a run about a week ago, the pain about an hour after I got back was twice as bad as the day I had it done!

AndyP
1st May 2012, 10:47 PM
You can't run without getting pain 7 weeks after getting it done? I'll assume you went to a GP then.

My snip was done in the hospital. I had my first run (12k) one week after, and I only held off that long as a precaution. There was no unexpected pain and I did a 50k a few weeks after the op. Great recovery and very little disruption to my life.

Remember a cop mate of mine, a few days after having it done. He and his partner pulled over to chase after a crim that had bolted through a yard. Opened his door, took one step out and said to his mate, 'you go after him'.

Have come down with a UTI. Don't think it's necessarily related to the snip as that was 5 weeks ago.

Ended up at Emergency Monday morning in much pain. Dignity gone after having been checked over by a lady doc, then with the ultrasound the sonographer asks if he can bring in some interns to check it out.

Had to pop out and get some groceries yesterday, and the codeine wore off while I was out. Was not happy.

Right testicle is way swollen. I'm off to the doc again this morning.

I think it's hurting more than the snip did.

Nah in hospital Andy. I'd played a few rounds of golf in the weeks before, and had no drama. I was just thinking then, my three year old managed to hit me in the nuts that afternoon at the supermarket which made me almost vomit with pain, and went for a run that night, so most probably a combo of the two.

My dr said I'd been wearing the wrong jocks though, as I've always worn those bike short type jocks and he said to stick to briefs for a few months. So far all good

Im thinking of getting it done.... but not unless the mrs will sign a pre-snip. I'm getting a lawyer friend of mine to write up bulletproof pre-snip contract that guarantees me 10 shags a month from her if i go through with it. If she wont sign it then she can have her uterus removed for all i care.... i'd sign it for that

Best tip I could give is to get yourself a pair of skins (or similar) compression shorts and wear them day and night for a week. (maybe get a couple of pairs so you can wash one whilst wearing the other ;) ). A pair of jocks under them also helps with a bit more compression. Reduce the wiggliy bits and you should be gold.

No icing what so ever here. Was at my boys soccer game the next day, bbq that night, then an outdoor wedding the day after that, and then back to work. No issues here! Wife was most impressed how I handled it, which won me even more browny points!

I don't believe what I've experienced had anything to do with not icing up. I was fine after a few days, and a month and a bit later I had a minor issue which caused a bit of pain

If I was doing it again I'd wanna put the boys into the hands of someone who is going to take a bit more time than a whack, chop "next" guy!

I only paid $100 for mine the rest on Medicare. Another place wanted about $600 and that included cost for a nurse. That alone is a bit of a scam I think. Last thing you want hanging around during these previous moments is a woman.

Try finding it for 100 nowadays Blakey. They hit you with initial consultations and then the actual fee for doing it. Bloody expensive to make sure you can't breed anymore. I don't think it should be as expensive as what they do charge.

Still haven't gone back yet to make sure I'm now shooting blanks.....

Yeah my initial appointment ie BMW Payment Appointment was about $250 and procedure was $500 from memory. But as Lobsta said, cheaper than another kid which is what happened to my mate. Surprise! Third child. Bam, bigger car, more furniture, more stress etc, now they're divorced. Not the only reason by far but it sure didn't help.

I had 2 nurses as well as the male doc for mine. I was just concentrating on not getting freaked out at the tugging and pulling sensations. Felt like he was trying to reel a garden hose out of my sac, he was doing so much tugging and pulling of pipes.

Apparently it is soft and less manly to get a specialist to do it in surgery, but having a GP handle your ballbag while you watch is okay.

I'm not sure if it can really be compared to getting a front back and crack wax, but if it can I would recommend a gay bloke over a hot chick. There is a time and a place for swelling and hot wax (and probably a scalpel) is not it.
