Thoughts on Ping Rapture Driver

I am looking for a new (to me) driver. Today I was loaned a Ping Rapture driver with an Aldila NVS 55 stiff shaft, loft is 9*

From what I can find online this is not the stock shaft, am I right with this?

Does anyone use (or have used in the past) one of these drivers, what are your thoughts ?

My budget is limited to under $200.00 so I am looking second hand at present.

Great driver, I still use mine (and just bought a backup). Should find one here or eBay for about $80.

Hmmm this one is $150.00....will have to negotiate if I decide I like it.

Dave, great drivers. I have a 10.5* V2 with a Project X 6.0 that I am using and a 9* 50th Anniversary V2 with Diamana Blueboard in Stiff with proper 50th Anniversary cover , the Anniversary version is same head with a different colour. The head has virtually no marks on it, you would not be be dissappointed. You can have the 9* for $180 posted if you want it....stu

$150 is way over the odds. In very good nick no more than $100 with a headcover.

Dave are you talking about the older Ping "Rapture" or newer "Rapture V2"??? A V2 at under $150 in near mint condition would be a good find indeed!

fwiw i picked up a cheap r11 ex demo for $160 in very good nic with head cover. its a good time to buy these as golf shops are getting rid of them due to the r11s.

It's the original model, no mention of V2 on it...condition is very good, not mint.

I am a lefty so finding this stuff isn't easy.

Yep must be hard to get your hands on lefty gear with the uberleftyho Daves living in the same city.

You should be able to find a good 905 or 909D2 for @ $100.
