I have an R9 and I would like to know how hard it should be to free the shaft out of the head (No Homo) once the retaining screw has been removed?

Not sure what you are really asking?

Should be easy, use the wrench, take the screw out, shaft should slide right out.

Thats the problem, shaft will not move once the screw is out.

Should pull straight out?

Bit of a pain as I was hoping to put another shaft in it.

Mate, real r9?
Id say you have some sand/grit, it should fall out, seriously?
Id just yank it out, if the screw is totally loose, theres nothing else holding it in???

Yeah it is real, guy I bought it from got it at Ipswich golf pro shop. Will give it another go tomorrow.

Just totally tighten it, then release it, then yank the f,r out, you won't damage anything!

When you tighten it up is the tool supposed to be like a torque wrench and stop tightening at a predetermened level?

Yep - it will click when its tight enough. U may have to give it a but though.

while on R9 topic, how to change the bolt if necessary as it will not lose from head....

Use the wrench I gave you :)

losing shaft is ok for me, what i mean is separate the bolt from head itself.

From memory there is a washer in the hosel that holds the screw in, if you can't push the screw out from the hosel side, try holding the washer down and stop in spinning and you should be able to unscrew the screw from the head.

its a little rubber washer sort of thing. Use a screwdriver or something similar and just push it through - same as above - you may have to give it a bit though....

Yeah, got it out. Shaft between my toes and hauled the shaft out.

See, little bit of brute force!
Give the hose a good clean out and the screw and sleeve.
Grit/sand kills them and the 910's

Get some nailer polisher remover (acetone) and use a cotton bud to clean it, including the thread.

originals NO problem, knock offs often get fused and can be difficult to detatch

Aerosol kerosene fixes everything?

Much better stuff around.....
