TourFit

a) it's my busiest day.

b) my father-in-law, who I get to cover the shop for me, is completely unavailable on Fridays!

...and Rubin, I don't have to get to R2 at all. You'll lose to EITHER of us!

simmsy
24th February 2012, 09:47 AM
It was too much effort for fit to click on the top of the screen where match play is

There was a burger in his mind along with a shake.

Would be happy to share a cart with either. And I prob won't be the usual 'energy to burn' self. FIFO has been tough and taking it's toll on the body and social scene. It will be good to just have a fun day with some mates, and no housework, shopping or duties to attend to for once.

Johnny Canuck
25th February 2012, 10:07 PM
Social scene? No more disco biscuits?

Nuffie

I fly into Perth late on 1st March and leave for up north early on the 8th, then back to Perth evening of 15th and then out again morning of 22nd. Its a dynamic never ending schedule. Have decided now I'm giving people two weeks notice where I'll be now, as trying to arrange social activities with friends (whilst I still have some) has become virtually impossible.

Nuffie
25th February 2012, 10:18 PM

They did the stimp test last Sunday...published it on the website. 11 foot 3 inches. It's not me doing it.

The greens were a little underdone for the Classic and the State Amateur. They are good now though.

Is Hartfield's method done via chips & splinters? (ie: 5 chips, 2 splinters!) Or do they roll the putt 25ft and count how many tyre tracks it goes over?

I wasn't all that hot I agree - but I don't think i drank a whole lot of water at all over the weekend, and I didn't have much during the round yesterday until i started seeing double and had a ripping headache that came out of nowhere (at around the 9th or 10th).

The greens were quick, but the morning dew took a fair bit of speed out of them first thing. They were definately getting quicker and I reckon they would have been very very quick later in the afternoon.

Ditto. Really enjoyed my first hit with a few of the Ozgolf crew and was happy not to embarrass myself on the day (wasn't looking good when I found trees on both sides of the fairway with my first two shots).

Hopefully there'll be an Ozgolf round soon so I can meet more of the crew.

Here is my recent handicap history.

I actually DIDplay at Lake Karrinyup on Sunday June 3rd, and was told by the member who invited me that it was a comp. I shot 34pts but was informed that the rating is 'usually' 73, so that would really only be one down (played to 11). I was assuming, and taking it in good faith, that a) it was in fact a comp and b) the rating WOULD be 73 when I made my tongue in cheek comments. There is a laughing emoticon at my jibe about waiting until after the match.

I have spoken to the member in question and HIS card isn't in either, so as far as I am led to believe it actually wasn't a comp at all, and so just turned into a social round.

But I can tell you this...THAT IS THE LAST TIME I WILL BE CALLED A CHEAT BY ANYONE HERE!!!

I will thus withdraw from the MP, and give Mega the walkthrough. If he doesn't accept, then Rubin gets a free run in the next round.

You stated yourself that you should be off 9 but would play off 10. Why? Don't ignore this question.

Now you have spoken to the member and have an explanation, but it is a little late, fit.

Technically, it is not cheating, but morally, it was the wrong thing to do in a friendly match play. You can't deny that.

I based the statement purely on the basis that I was playing in a legitimate competition. It seems I was NOT. It is a lot to assume, is it not, as would the assumption that the course would also rate at 73. If it rated at 72 the whole thing is a moot point

Now you have spoken to the member and have an explanation, but it is a little late, fit.

I spoke to the member on Monday and he was going to speak to the ProShop and let me know, he also told me his card hadn't been put in either. I haver hardly been on here in the last two weeks or so anyway.

No one thinks you are lowly and I am not trying to be a wise ass about this. I simply stated that the move of stating that you should be off 9, but because a card wasn't processed you were playing off 10 was low. It's fine for a normal comp, but a friendly match play with a mate?

I was honestly surprised by the move and actually believed that you had made the whole thing up just to get into Mega's head.
