Well my wanted thread didn't do to well so now i'm looking to buy a left handed set for my gf (who doesn't play that often).

She's not after much, but it's better than hiring clubs. So for now i've just been burning around ebay, and saw these 2. I'm going to take her in and try them, but just wanted to know what the differences are from another source.

Also, are these just cheap crap and i shouldn't bother? She was thinking about going into vic park and getting fitted but i'm thinking that might be overkill for her.

Never heard of the Precise Brand. Brosnan would be OK, not top notch but OK for the dollars. A name brand set is going to be upwards of a $1,000+ retail.

The Golf Clearance Outlet at the Gabba had a number of women's sets when I was last there, worth a look if you are close by.

Don't waste your money. Get a local second hand set off ebay from some chick who played two rounds. If your gf sticks at it get a fitted set for her.

Bought a 2nd hand set for the wife a couple of years ago. She did a golf clinic over several weeks, loved it, never played again. Who can figure them out. Best $200 I ever wasted.:wink:

i'e been checking it out, and so far there is only male clubs going. There is one really old set going atm, how i'm wondering if they would do more halm than good.

Apparently female lefties are the least common type around.... had to be difficult.

As a general rule golf sets are usually of inferior quality. You are better to look at the individual components e.g. Irons, Hybrids Woods and putter. There are some exceptions, Adam for example, makes some reasonable matched sets. This set looks OK, add a bag and you are set;

Search here is for LH Ladies golf clubs, start at irons (as some will come with Hybrids, plus there will be some brand name sets in this section also);

Doh, "Lh", i've been searching for "left".

I didn't know you could filter the search like "for golf in Golf Clubs: Women, Left-Handed".

Don't see the problem, one of the only sports i do that she can tag along with.

I have been getting my wife to start playing. It means that I get to play 9 holes some evenings with her but also means that she now understands how long it takes to play a round of golf so she leaves me in peace for my weekend round.

I took her to try them today, she couldn't tell the difference between the 2.

She chose the one with the putter she liked more, lucky it was the cheaper one.
