After a horrible 2011 which included another two months off due to back related injuries, my favourite homegrown golfer Micky Sim is back on the Nationwode tour which starts this week in Bogata.

I hope he comes out firing like he did in 09 and more importing hope he has a trouble free year with his back. This kid has sooooo much talent.

He's on a conditional status, not exactly sure how many events that get's him into.

Maybe someone can enlighten us.

he wont be . . . his back has been giving him shit for years now.

So much talent - and the body just lets him down, again and again.

65 in the second round has him T3, 9 Birds 3 bogeys.

It's just great to see him out there going low again. Simply Awesome!

yeah that's what i've been told. a mate of mine knows him and told me that.

He might have ties to both. A mate of mine was working at Joondy and he said Sim was there all the time. Another mate is a Lakelands member and he has told me a bunch of Sim stories.

Maybe he moved to Joondy when he realized nothing good ever comes from LL.

Pretty sure Metherel? Is/was his coach.

I think Sim was at LL before being recruited to Joondy. They have a strong pennants recruiting program.

I think his coach for most of his time in WA was David Milne. Not sure after he went to the AIS.

He was a member at Lakelands till he was about 13, then joined Joondalup, and is coached by David Milne.
Don't want to give to much away but lives close to the course at Joondalup.

He had a win this year on Web.com (Nationwide). Certainly hasn't been consistent though. And the win he had would be due to one of the great flukes of the year.

He did get lucky to make the playoff.... He always looked the winner once in it though!
