My work phone in an HTC Desire. When I picked it up after charging it two nights ago, I noticed a strange, vibration/static electricity feel on the back part of the phone where the battery is housed.

Once I shut off the charger, it went away.

I put it on charge again last night and found the same thing. I have tried shutting it down, removing the battery, etc, but as soon as I put it on change, the "electrical buzzing sensation" returns.

Any ideas? Is this dangerous? Is there a chance that my battery has already exploded while it is charging in the other room? Should I put my phone in Yoss' golf bag today?

Maybe Mrs Canuck should use it?

a slight concern. lithium batts have the potential to do some damage
is it getting hot while charging?

Not really. It just has a very strange feel to it. It is almost as if you can feel the charge, if that makes any sense.
