Nuff 3 and 1

This match is going to be a cracker. I'm off 5 with two solid rounds falling off soon, so this weekend in the Vines Members Classic hopefully good scores a-coming.

how does 8 - 5 = 6?

It doesn't.

But it also assumes that the Canadian Bully is setting TommyG's 'cap at 10...which it isn't!

And therein lies the problem. All players without official & active AGU Golflink 'caps should be barred and/or forfeit the first round!

Did you play with Tommy?

As a KB member you should know, scores me nothing in certain conditions. One year, I had a round on 92 in club champs, that was good for 3rd best on the day. Should I have been given a cap of 16, based on that?

We played in some serious conditions.

rubin

Ive played with tommy a few times now, and everytime so far, he would have played to about a 10 - 12. I reckon that a cap of 10 is more than fair, and if he got a true one, it would be about a 10 or lower.

I did at Dunsborough! Wiped the first hole and was talking about Naga after 9 holes! Had a good back 9 getting points on the par 5s and the tough par 3! Played some nice golf, but no disrespect to Tommy, I've seen 8 markers and he ain't it yet!

The Hollywood 2012 ozgolf star has a well rounded game and the feel of someone who could be a mid-single digit player but not just yet. I reckon he's an 8-10 but 10 at most. The guy can play.

Our venue will also be somewhere off on a tangent. It's going to be Chequers, Wanneroo, Joondalup or Hartfield I reckon. A few more calls will be made tomorrow.

He had 39 points off 12 at the vines with me and nuff.

Actually I hit 35 off 12 that day... And that was the last full round I've played, and the only full round since champs. If you recall I got thumped that day by yourself with 41 points and Nuffield with 39.

As for my pgn cap of 22... That's all rubbish I was just winding up the committee with that one. But as for what my cap should be??? I dunno. I don't think I've ever hit a better score than 84... In fact not sure if I've even gone that low ever.. But I don't know how caps are worked out so I'll leave that to all the experts here to work out. If I play off 12 and play to cap off the stick it will be probably be my best score ever. I have had some sub 40 9 hole scores on easy courses though so throw that into the mix ... But honestly I don't think I fall into the single figure category but that will be my aim this year.

To be honest I'm not in it to win it, just for the pure enjoyment factor and to have a laugh and learn from some really good golfers, so whatever cap you come up with is fine by me.

16207 Vs 16206

The 'Red Dog' otherwise known as NUFFIETHEGOLFMAN, has returned from that dust-infested place that is known to those interesting characters up there as Area C. To the city folk of today, it may be just some meaningless place out there in the never never - where the sun is SO hot, it has capabilities of turning normal human beings into extra-terrestrial resembling creatures from other planets and galaxies far far away.

But from Area C roams ONE character who has managed to defy the sun's power and any sign of human susceptibility to the forces of evil. Instead of falling victim to the ever expanding alien force... he will forever remain a man, NUFFIETHEGOLFMAN.

This is because six long months ago... he decided put it all on the line and leave his dead end career, to pave his way towards a new destiny in iron ore... because as everyone no doubt is starting to understand, kennels are becoming very expensive to keep these days!

With true denim in his veins and heart beating like a drum as it always has in the face of adversity, he now has a new assignment on his 'golfing' agenda to take care of - who is the armed and dangerous (see the attached photo) TommyG!

Despite three attempts to arrange this match; twice at Wanneroo and once at Joondalup -%

Yes AND I passed it last week when I was selected.

Should finish around 7pm!
Hopefully it's decided a lot sooner than that. There's a plane to catch at 5.30 am the next day, which means up at 3.45 am.

Anyone free to come out and join us? Its only gonna be 27 tomorrow so not bad. The only really painful thing will be Nuffies metaphors... and if i take the piss out of him constantly with no-one there to laugh i might feel a little mean (or not).

The sun is shining and it's a gorgeous day in The Vines. And a red dog loves nothing more than the sun on his back.

That's what I thought...

Until my studio design Newport came back from the dead, to jail 3 x clutch putts to win the 12th, 13th AND 14th. When we both missed the 15th fairway and got on the green for 3, I figured we'd be dormy.

But Tommy 3 jacked and the result became 4 & 3 to me.

Comisserations to TommyG, he played a solid front 9 and matched me tee to green on most holes.

I am quite relieved as coming into this match my game was down and out.

Yeah vic stole my mojo today... jinxed me real bad.... actually i just choked majorly on the greens. I think i 3 jacked 3 or 4 holes in a row down the back stretch, which you cant do against someone as consistent as Nuffie. Hats off to you nuff, well played.

Tommy matched Nuff tee to green and then took one or two putts more. Good putters don't need centre-shafted configs unless they're cheat sticks.

I looked to me that it just didn't suit him
