Cosmo will dominate this encounter.

Cosmo to win then.

She might take four or five to get on the green. You'll take at least that to get OFF the tee!

rubin
16th January 2012, 06:12 PM
i guess Meadow Springs will be an indicator - from what i can tell and have read, I'll be hitting alot of irons off the tee there.

If we play KB - I may do the same.

What does this mean? I thought the reason for having an R11 with Nunchuk was to give it a big crack.

I do, and it does. Don't worry about that! You can have a crack on the day.

But - pointless of hitting driver and finding myself in the traps. My irons have been more accurate of late as well.

Last week you couldn't miss a fairway and were driving like a touring pro, but your irons are more accurate?

22? Really?

With a buggered shoulder - they are 100x more accurate. Not sure what I did, but even just sitting at my desk my shoulder feels like its gone dead.

Im not sure what you mean by 22...?

Yossarian
16th January 2012, 08:02 PM
I think he means you post a lot about how well you are hitting it but don't play to cap. Something is not adding up.

If only I had the time to play a few more rounds at Carramar before this. I would likely be off 24-25 and maybe half a chance to get near the pointy end if I had a day out.

3/4 caps, so 1 shot?

Prediction, Rubin 6/5.

Cosmo, proove me wrong and make him your bitch.

Check his pockets for Noodles and holes before you start. Don't worry, it won't turn him on.

I've seen Rubin play a very controlled game. Have only seen Cosmo play one game years ago.

Length has to count as an advantage. Doesn't matter where they play, Cosmo's three would be equivalent to his 5 iron.

Rubin will only win 4/3 because Cosmo's game will keep it close as Rubin may not have the self control.

tommyg
16th January 2012, 11:29 PM
Im giving 50:50 odds on this one. Anything could happen. Rubin could play to 10 or 30. Cosmo i reckon 15 to 25 depending on the pressure of watching a 300m drive followed by 2 duffed chips... actually, maybe i'll join you for this with half a carton and sledge you both til my throat is sore.

Burswood? Cosmo 2&1.

The course can't make that much difference. That's an 8 hole difference

Johnny Canuck
17th January 2012, 09:09 AM
Burswood is super short, not much trouble for shorter hitters. Perfect for Jules.

If you play as you say, 4&3 for the sore shouldered reacharounder (that was gold by the way).

If you decide to bash woods and you don't have you touring pro style with you, Cosmo wins it.

You're not playing at that goatrack in Gnangara either ;) I reckon Jooles 3&2 at Burswood.

Congratulations to Rubin on his win, 4/3. He played like a champ today and I played like a chump. my short game really sucked.

He left the driver in the bag for most of the day which helped I think.

I think the handicapper needs to have a good look at his cap. not a 22 capper.

Cheers cosmo.

Was a good day today, very much enjoyed it. After our tee shots onthe first, i was concerned not so much at who will win, but more so do i have enough balls in the bag! (ended up only losing 2 during the match, 1 duffed tee shot into the drink, the other was a nailed drive that went arrow straight into the drink, having aimed left for my usual slice)

Cosmo's ball striking has improved heaps from last i saw, low penetrating shots that run like cathy! Quite a few times i was feeling the pressure on the approach shots, and even on inconsistent greens, the putting display was great.

Bring on mega!!!! (please win mega, i dont wanna know anymore about carnoustie........ ;) )

In all honesty - maybe. I approached todays game with the thoughts of it being a comp round, and a little bit of pressure knowing that (no offence to cosmo) i would copped heaps if I lost. BUT - its still not a comp round as such.

To do that though, i would need to work out what the difference is (thought process wise) which is easier said than done.
