I was going thru my purchase list on ebay and came across a seller ive used a few times.
So i go to his feedback and saw one guy who's bought a shitload from him!

Scuse my ignorance, but what is paint break?

If you look closely on the front of the hosel, there is No Paint running up the neck.
Therefore the Tour Van can bend the hosel to desired loft and lie/face angle without damaging the paint job.
On retail heads, if you did this you "may" have the paint crack etc.....:roll:
