Unfortunately, it has never been recreated as a modification for vBulletin 4.

He's on ignore too. You just click on 'view post' if you're curious.

It is too close to the Like button for my liking.

Mike, turn your glasses on.

edit: oh wait a sec, I thought the Thread Title was the new Ignore Thread button.

Hey guys

Just a thought, do the mods have the ability to time out users? Like you could time out Rubes cause he is getting feisty in the belly thread to stop some nasty posting?

Or can you force ignore on a user? Like making timah! ignore all WA users when he is getting cranky at us?

xx

AndyP

A timeout would just be a banning with a time limit. I can't remember if there is the option to do it for just a few hours.

No to the latter, unless I logged into their account.

Yes, the thread one.

Just wondering if there was a possibility of this coming back at all?

theres a couple of threads (one in particular) that I would just prefer not to see at all (especially as tapatalk/forumrunner show previews)

There is still hope for the handicap challenge rubes!

Wouldn't it be easier to just subscribe to a few good threads like mine? then just make the subscribed threads page your bookmark. You would avoid a lot of crap doing that.

I did that on another forum that was just way too huge to start off with the "New Posts" button, there is a couple hundred sub forums for a start.

AndyP

There is no modification for this function that I know of.

As surprising as it may be to you, and difficult for you to understand, not many people want to be like you.

If its getting really bad you should just choose the ignore user function. Its not really worth getting so worked up over just one person because you do not agree with them.

When it is quoted? If so, no.

Did you quote that so people who have Ferrins on ignore could see it ;)

AndyP

I could ask the same of you, but I'm unignorable.

Any way to prevent the post from someone on ignore coming up when it is replied to? Sms would get lonely in the Andrew Bolt love conversation

Yossarian

I doubt that, every time he mentions Bolt the rusted on Labor apologists rush to join the conversation.

TheNuclearOne

Ignore should work two ways, they (ignored) shouldn't see your posts either. Waste of a potentially good function.
