Tuner and PVR

I have a beyonWiz but it is not working for a lot of formats. especially H256 Codec and other MKV.

I need a replacement that has both HD TV Tuner PVR and also the ability to play movies off a NAS box.

Any suggestions ?

WD TV is my choice - but it has no Tuner.

Jb hi-fi have a Samsung 3d bluray player with 500 gig hardrive, twin Hd tuner and mkv etc playback for $296 seems like a good deal. I have a teac pvr with twin hd tuners and a wdtvlive for media playback gets the job done.

There are so many options out there now for Media Players how is it possible to know what is actually any good? With so many changes to formats (and muppets that encode incorrectly) if the manufacture is not updating firmware then todays hot item is tomorrows brick. But of course you know that.

Personally I am in favour of using Apple TV to playback (jailbroken + XBMC), and using a seperate PVR. At least doing that we know that the XBMC project will always be supported, and of course the Tuner/Recorder does not matter with compatibility as you only use it to play back your own recordings. Though the moment though I only have the ATV, I am still crying over my BYW that blew up.
