The old guy CAN play.
A mate of mine who was on the Tour years ago told me on the range, and in practice rounds he was pure, prob still is today.
Just when he stepped on the first tee of a tourney he just went to water?

I followed him around Royal Perth. Off the tee he was frightening. He hit one shot so far left it hit the trees 50m forward from the tee, at least 45° off course. I was standing next to his wife at the time and she said that he just goes completely blank with a driver in his hands and has no idea where it is going.
Once he got it on the fairway though, he as pure (He still made par on that hole).

His ballstriking and short game are still world class and so is he. The whole time he maintained his composure and apart from a few scowls after bad shots he was a picture of class for the whole round.
