Well a few of the guys at my club all rave about them... about 7 guys i know have ditched their scotty's for the nice white head cover and super soft feel of the yamada..

I like any HO would do wanted to see what the massive buzz was about them.. I went and bought one and had it in my bag for about 3 weeks and don't see what the big buzz is about..
sure its super soft off the face and is well weighted but I will take my laguna 1.5 any day over it.

has anyone else out there got one and if so what do you think ? its all personal preference I guess but I am staying a scotty man!

Mint, Yamada's are at least as good as high end Scotties! It gets down to personal taste but quality and feel wise they are absolute top shelf. Plus they are milled in Japan not China!!!!

Nah I wasn't really serious. Unless you have the business sense of a rotten potato I think it would still fall well within the range of what I consider far too much to pay for a golf club.

i have had, and still do have a few of these.
the JP only release ibushi, thats his top dog.
the razor (blade style ) which is my gamer now in copper, the SEV orange. the all copper anser.
i guess its a personal thing, but hes not a bad old maker. i prefer these to the scottys ive got for sure.

if u want to try a really good JP putter , get yr hands on a hiro matsumoto mz range from a few yrs ago before the co. went lower quality, higher turnover... the mz and mc range, wow, best ones ive hit.

I have a copper anser shaped thing stamped CU 29 11 and MILLED UESUGI
It's a lovely putter, though a tad light. It has a bent Adams shaft in it which makes it a it of a mystery.
The guy I got it off was adamant it was made for Faldo.
Anyone know anything about it?

Had a centre shaft and now getting a razor napa style to try out. They are softer than SC's bar tour issue Scotty's (counterbalanced and way lighter than the stock). Had a muck around with Ogilvie's Scotty putter not too long ago and it felt as light as a feather.

your not the first person I have heard that off - A mate of mine was telling me the same thing that it was really light.. I wish I had his technique tho!

I am probably going against the grain here, but I recon they are aweful looking/feeling, they seem to have too much of a 'home made' look and finish to them for my liking.

There are plenty of old school gems out there with character you can pick up pretty cheap.
One example is Leftys old school Studio Design......love it.
