84 around Wantima today in a social hit with some workmates.

Hit the ball reasonably well, driver was a bit erratic, but overall an enjoyable round.

Double-bogeyed both par 5's on the back nine though :(

Went on a golf trip to Gosford and played Kooindah and Maganta this Sunday/Monday with my regular mates from Port Kembla GC, played the best I have in a long time with 76 off the stick at Kooindah (hcp 9) for 41 points and won the comp, then backed it up the next day at Magenta with 74 off the stick!!!!!

Camden Lakeside tomorrow....not sure I can maintain this streak...Stu

77 for 38 points. 15 (43) and 23 (34).

Only the second time I've gone deep for 9 holes and the other time was a 34 as well.

36 points in an early morning bash with DoubleD (16/20).

3 wipes is a bit frustrating, especially 2 on par 5s both of which are my mentally bad holes.
Hit a lot of good shots though, and was trying to work on 'hinge and hold' on my pitching, which worked pretty well.

Hopefully should drop me to 17, 2 off my goal for the year...

Single Stab again at Windaroo.

I actually think I hit the ball pretty well, but really just didn't score. Didn't putt that great either
On the whole, i'm actually pretty happy with the round, it's just that my 'bad' shots really stuffed up a hole.

Was very happy with my driving, finally was the best club in my bag. Starting to really groove a swing, just need to work on a routine to keep it consistent...

31 pts (http://golfshot.com/rounds/detail/315-7940499-7940827) this morning with stuartmac75, Haysey & Solarman.

It was a mixed bag today. Didn't do anything particularly well, and got stuck behind trees at least half a dozen times. I think I might go back late tonight with a chainsaw. Doesn't matter much though, Stuey & I still won the money. 8)

88/77 @ Mareeba against grumpy and a couple of mates today.

Drove the ball fairly well but sucked at putting and chipping, first weekend game in 3 weeks.

Out again tomorrow with NKJ2 and possibly grumpy again.

Mareeba greens are rolling really well, would rate fairly high on the stimp meter, but not checking as much.

Scary stuff if you were above the hole.

87 gross for 26 points at Brookwater today! 9 points on the front nine. Lost a few balls with shots that weren't that bad. Usual Brookwater stuff I suppose. Made a nice birdie on 16 and hit some reasonable shots on the back nine. 3 out of 4 of us birdied the 16th actually. Funny stuff, as the pin was tucked way back right and the smart play was to aim for the middle of the green, yet we all had a crack at the sucker pin. Oxy left his birdie on the edge for birdie too, so it was almost a clean sweep.

38 points at Thurgoona (76/72) yesterday. Made an ugly double on 8 (my 17th), with a rather unattractive shank, but otherwise played pretty steady.

35 (21/14) points at Nudgee today.

Had a great front nine, but tanked badly on the run home... mainly due to poor putting :(

A whelming 35 (16/19) at Windsor this arvo.

Probably had my best round with the Superdeep so far, with some solid and controlled tee shots that I could actually repeat. Other fairway finding clubs worked pretty well, but only 1 GIR for the whole round was pretty piss poor. I hardly had my distances dialled in from 120m in all day...either airmailed greens or left approaches a club short. Putted OK and had about 3 or 4 lipouts. Biggest lowlight was the 2nd, where I skulled 2 chips and duffed another 2 for a most embarrassing wipe.

Not sure why it had me playing off 17, but Golfshot stats here (http://golfshot.com/rounds/detail/317-7959078-7959408).

Had a cracking weekend of golf.
Yesterday had 80 nett 66 to win b grade in the New Brighton cup.
Today had 42 points to clean up individual in b grade and also had a win in the 2bbb.

Sometimes it all comes together :)

Good on ya mudrat, good to have a win under the belt occasionally!

I had another bad weekend, sat 4-man ambrose 70gross/~59ish net - lots of greens but too far to get birdies.
101/76 today, 1 oob, 3 3putts and lots of tree trouble (including snapping my 3i).

Completed the club representative duty on Sunday at Penola, good company, great weather and a very enjoyable track to have a hit around. The greens were fun a bit of pace and true, could have a crack at putting for the hole all day. Had my usual vertigo moment when looking up in the air and seeing the towering pines that line various fairways at Penola. Hard to omagine that 8-10 years ago these were marked for removal! IMO they are a real course feature that epitomises the character of teh track. Returned a scintilating 24 Stableford points. Enjoyed the company and the golf even with the terrible score. Can now have a couple of golf free weeks and recover from the various injuries that are causing a bit of a problem with my golf at the minute.

13/11/11, Peregian Springs GC, Back Marker Challenge.

8/14 effective tee-shots.
5/18 effective approaches.
3/5 up and down successes.
31 putts. (No Three Stabs Streak Count - 4. It was a real momentum killer too.)
------------------------
2 birdies. (I can score regular birdies at every course but my own, it seems.)
4 pars.
10 bogeys.
2 others.

Scoring: BBBBBBPBP bbBPBDPTB
Score (http://www.ozgolf.net/andyp/Scorecard/rounds/20111115-p80.html): 43-42-85 nett 77 (Par 36-36-72 ACR 72)

H/cap Change: Out +0.1 to 8.3

Good enough stats, I suppose, but the problem is that the bad shots are very bad, including my usually rock solid driver. I got on the bogey train early, finding many different ways to score one, from wasting good drives to three putting to great recoveries. I turned the corner with any chance of breaking handicap seemingly gone, but the 10th forced me to be aggressive and the resultant birdie started a nice run and some confidence. Blasting a driver OOB on 15 ended that, and I spent the rest of the round recovering from garbage shots. Surprisingly, it almost ended up being a counter for my handicap; it never felt like it.

The hybrids should have been put away early, as they were terrible. Good to see the putter come back after the one bad week though.

Next round: Still meh. I'll go to Ballina for the OZgolf day for the social side of things.

40pts today in single stab at Bribie.

Back nine first and turned with 14pts courtesy of 2 wipes on 17/18
Then bird, par, bird, bogey, bogey, bogey, par, bird, par and 26pts. 3 bogeys were all as a result of missed tee shots but just missed up and down saves on each of them.

First time I have played to par on either nine.

More importantly we won the bet on both nines....my partner had 43 points :-)

Had day where the score didn't really reflect how I hit it..

Ended up with 74/66 to win A Grade but hardly set the place alight despite being 2 under for the last 13 holes and not missing a GIR over that time. (sounds better then it was) I missed easy birdie putts on 12, 17 & 18 as well. Drove the ball really well but hit some terrible approach shots on few holes and had a day where I holed alot of really good par putts after horrible birdie attempts.

Stoked to grind a score out.

Thanks to PetethePilot for the tip on 16 yesterday, driver was much better today.

Well, if we're going to this thread for yesterday's results...80friggin3. Oh my good lord. Played the first nine trying to implement the new swing changes. Wow, am I a LONG way off! 41 of the worst shots you'll ever see.

Went back to the old swing for the back nine to try and keep the score respectable and played 42 EVEN WORSE shots than the front nine. Got trapped inbetween the two swings I think.

No birdies, 8 pars, 8 bogies and 2 doubles. Handicap from 1.8 to 2.3. Soon to be 5.5 (my anchor) at this rate.

Sunday 20/11/11
Single stab at Dalby
What a day 23/22 45points (35/37 72)
Its amazing what score you can have what you hit fairways & greens & then make a couple of putts.
Should see the h/cap drop from 9 to 8:)
