I made a short video trying to show the effects of incorrect lie angle on ball flight.

I thought some of you might be interested. I think it turned out ok... HERE (http://www.willowgolf.com.au/?p=1545)

Doesn't make sense to me at all unless the lie angles are miles off.

You hit the ball before the ground, moreso with short irons than long irons. Yet, lie angle issues show up more with short irons rather than long irons.

To me the clubface points left if the lie is too upright, the clubface points right if it is too flat...that seems a more likely reason for the misses you are talking about.

Try hitting some irons off a mid height tee, if what you are saying is true then the ball should go straight...but we know it doesn't

Ah my bad Toolish... what you say is true... I will amend the text. Thanks for pointing out my error.

Nice little video! I had mine checked about 4 months ago and was told the clubs were too short by 1" and that the lie angles needed to be adjusted 2*.

I extended the clubs and then had the lie angles retested 2 months ago and all is now OK.
