Have u ever played rocko? Easy to get on there. Otherwise, would be looking at probably burswood, wembley etc.

Havent played there since probably 99. I could be up for that.
I dont know why this has gone to italics, but the mrs has me penned in for a barbie at 3ish so an earlyish start would be good.

That's cool mate. I'll let you know tomorrow. I would guess about 8 - 8.30

Old Course is booked for the whole day, spots available on the Tuart around 11.44 and 12.30

That doesn't surprise me, the Tuart has improved but the Old Course is still the best.

Tommy - if your fine with it, we can tee-off at some stage before 8. The old blokes have a comp they run on fridays thats starts at 8, so it would be best for us to get in before them (apparently if we get caught during or after them it could be a 6+ hour round - quite a social hit by the sounds of it).

I prefer the Tuart but I'm in the minority.

Thanks Bruce but we're heading to rocko...

I like the both the old and tuart for different reasons. I'm still very disappointed every time I play the 4th on the old now though. Whoever made the decision to cut down that beautiful old tree on the right of the fairway better have a good reason. I hope it wasn't just to speed up play.... It should have been heritage listed

The tree was dead, it had pyhtophera and ammarilla and declined rapidly in the space of 6 months or so. The cost to take tree down that size is considerable and hence its not done without good reason...

What a shame.... That hole seems to me like it's missing something now. The tree was a beauty, and messed with many a second shot...

7.45am at Rocko if anyone else is keen on joining us. Course is in pretty good shape at the moment as well.

Its something we are working on. We now take infrared photos annually of the whole property to identify problem trees/areas and track their progress. A lot of the big Tuarts in particular are now tagged and mapped, and given treatments of fungicide and fertilisers as required.

Basically - as long as we are off before 8 we are sweet. I'm happy for 7.30, and without a hold up, 4hrs will do it easily.

I'll leave it up to u.

Mate, lucky u weren't playing in the group I was in a few weeks ago. These guy played bits. And one bloke can potentially earn 12 bits per hole. ****ing stupid rules they played with this. I had no idea so said that I'd pass, one of the guys owed $60 at the end of the round. (got to 18 and pushed double or nothing)

There is one hole where a jug is a very real possibility. The ladies tees are almost 100m in front of the men's some days.
