schweet! Now I gotta get me a kbs black. Fit suggested going with the plain steel, but I reckon the black ni would look better.

No longer the go to high marker.

Hybrid if I'm not vying for distance ;)

3wood only, worked fairly well on Saturday, made f-all difference on Sunday though. Helped me implant a golf ball in a house, but that's about all really.

Have fun boys. I'll be thinking of ewe's (bahhhh) whilst I measure piezometers at Area C in 45 degree heat. A golf course, particularly WAGC would be a much better spot to be.

I drank 7.5 litres of fluid, and had my first piss at 7.30pm!!!

8th?

yep...left fairway, the next fairway, short right, greenside right. AWESOME!

So you blokes chopped it then?

Sometimes we did, but plenty of quality in there too.

I had one of the best driving days in a long while. It was really working well yesterday. Hit some really good irons too (NTP on 9 probably).
My short game was a little patchy and I didn't really putt well. I have been struggling to hole makeable putts lately, and seem to be using the braile method of green reading!

JC played well in R2, and holed some great putts during the day (including a 30 footer for a 4pt birdie ON THE 1st HOLE OF THE DAY, FFS!)

.Course was in good nick, greens nice

greens were a bit slower than normal but made sense due to the heat. they rolled out nicely though which was ok. amazing that they got slower in the afternoon as the grass grew

I enjoyed the two rounds and the company was good. With 'Fit's health issue, he didn't talk to much. Thanks to Bergsey for arranging.

My rounds did not include any birdies and didn't have the driver working well (for my standards anyway). Had a new set of clubs that I bought in 2004 - Srixon i302s but never used. I think Bergsey has used them more than I have. Fit adjusted them for me on Friday and they are nice. Love the old school Flighted Rifles.

Unfortunately, the wedges were a different story as I couldn't dial the distances I'm used to and left my approaches either too long or short.

My putting let me down on the 2nd round as I had 6 3-putts (1 pointers) and the only wipe for the day to get me to 32 points on the 2nd round. Still, I dropped a shot and down to 11 now. Hopefully get down to 10 by Xmas.

Bergsey and I teamed up on the first 18 and are a good Matchplay team based on previous Ozgolf events - so we were quietly confident...until the first hole, the 13th.

As it was Shotgun, we had to start on the 13th - one of the furtherest points from the course and having to negotiate a couple of small hills. We left our buggies at the top of the hill on the left side of the fairway which was about halfway for the 380m Par 4. We all got off the tee with everyone hitting to the left side and TF and JC caning theirs over the hill to about 130m away from the green.

I just happened to toe my to the right rough half way up the hill leaving me about 180m away and unsighted. Annoyed and hot, I could be ****ed walking to my bag across the fairway to grab another club and walk back and across 70m so I used my driver. It got onto the green.

I made par missing my birdie by a couple of inches from about 35 ft. JC steps up and sinks a 30 footer for birdie across three breaks. We all had shots. Typical JC.

However, by the end of that round, Bergsey had made a couple of nice approaches and good putts to win that 18.
