Scoring TPBBBBPQT bPPDPBPDB

Score (http://www.ozgolf.net/andyp/Scorecard/rounds/20111013-p75.html): 51-39-90 stab 9-17-26pts (Par 37-34-71 ACR 71)

No H/cap Change.

I hurt my wrist warming up or something. This stopped me from being able to hit the ball with a full swing or being able to trust that I could hit it properly or overcompensating, etc. It really ****ed with my mind, as all I could think about was how I was going to enjoy the next few days at the Champs with an injury. It must have just been a slight sprain, as it came good by the end of the round, or at least I hope it has. It's a shame the round counts towards my handicap, as I considered NCR'ing with injury. Ah well, that's a bonus shot that I have for the weekend. ;)

I lipped out for eagle on 10 after wiping the two holes before it. I played well on the back nine, but didn't get the reward for it thanks to the cored greens. The bunkers were terrible too, in fact, the course is struggling overall.

Next rounds: It's CHAMPS TIME!!!!!!

Stroke round at Albury Commercial today. Drove it poorly, and just couldn't catch a break. 2 doubles and a triple, with a couple if unplayables. Signed for an 80.

Alot.

**** knows how I only managed to shoot -3 in par comp. I was swinging the club like an absolute muppet. Can tell ur doing something wrong when ur better off teeing off with a 5 iron, because it's straighter and longer than your driver. :(

1st comp game (ie:walking) in 7 weeks...not expecting much, and with much trepidation about my foot!

PAR : -1

Will drop 0.2 down to 8.9. Pretty happy really, especially as the wind got up a bit on the back 9. Missed some stupid short putts too, when I didn't concentrate. Also blew a hole or two from good position off the tee.

you played pretty solid all day 'fit. Awesome fun watching SB go after it, man he hits it long (and can hit it straight).

i just couldn't get a putt all day, happy with my play off the tee but short game was poop! -4.

Coolum - 30 pts
Champs Rd1 - 27 pts
Champs Rd2 - 32 pts

Hit it reasonably well, but made enough mistakes to ruin any chance of good scores. Add very poor putting and bunker play to the mix and it was a struggle for 3 days. Got it together for a decent stretch this morning and was 1 under through 8 holes, but then fell in a heap and returned to the bogey train and poor putting. Came pretty close to an ace on the 6th hole, which was a nice comeback after shanking my tee shot into the houses there yesterday!

29 points Saturday
35 points Sunday (highlight was getting through 15-18 today with 7 points - find that an incredibly tough finishing stretch!)

Weekend playing highlights -
Playing 4, 12 & 14 in 3 under par for the weekend.
Driving past the pin on 12 on Sunday.

Lowlights - no points on 13 for the weekend.

I'm one game away from completing 6 rounds in 6 days (tomorrow morning at Northlakes). As tomorrow is a new week, I'll report on my progress now.

Fwiw, my aim before the start of this odyssey was to average 30 points or better for the 6 rounds combined.

Wednesday - Cairns GC - 30 pts.
Thursday - McLeod GC - 38 pts.
Friday - Hyatt Coolum - 28 pts.
Saturday - Pelican Waters - 20 pts.
Sunday - Pelican Waters - 34 pts.

So, right now I'm dead on target. 30 pts or better tomorrow and I'll be very happy. That said, I'll back myself in for 28 or 29 pts.

Thanks Pete,
I really enjoyed Sunday and I am glad I managed to grind out a score. Funny thing though, I think I hit it better Saturday for 17... Just holed putts, and managed to limit the mistakes on Sunday.

Still recovering from the Club Championships final on Sunday. If I was a horse that curtain would have been brought out and et up around me and the pet food factory would be the next stop. Threw everything I had into the game and lost 5/4 after 32 holes. Losing does suck, yet I have no regrets at all there was nothing left in the tank at the end. To have come second in A grade is quite an achievment in my opinion, it was only in 2009 I returned to golf on a 36 handicap.

Shot a 74 off the bat around Collier Park (Pines/Lake) last Friday morning, and then 31 pts around The Vines - Lakes with Dean and a couple of IDGG's mates in the afternoon.

Also shot 1 under around the back nine of Supa Golf at Swan Valley Oasis last Sunday. This included an eagle on the 17th hole and lip out for eagle on the 13th hole.

Par. 6 down through 8. 4 down through 18.

I actually was not sure if you had halved a hole through 8...

Played very nicely on the Front.

I also Finished -4 after not hitting 1 (not 1) good iron shot all day. Cap back out to 11.1

Right its been a few months....I've worked on:

1. Dropping the Club back on plane. This has been a lot of hard work, and its still not 100%, but I feel that i "drop" the club on the down-swing now, before taking control as I start my Rotation...and I am STRIPING it Currently. Long Irons are flying long and straight consistently and I very very excited about this.

Here is some footage this morning...Striping it with a 6 iron:

You have no one to blame but yourself. ;)

Shadesy
21st October 2011, 11:37 AM
Yep went to the Range this morning and Had 8 terrible shots, walked away and started striping it again.... It annoyed me so much how well I was hitting them in the Warm up as well.... I kept thinking I would jag one decent Shot, but none eventuated. I woke up this morning trying to remember a decent iron shot. I played a PW to the centre of the first (10th) and that was it.

Stupid game, and Your right I have no one to blame but myself, jinxed myself good.

At least Supa Golf requires 4 more clubs (A BIG BOY, STRIKER, SLAMMER and a PUTTA) than ur 'thumb-thumper' club that you used to play mobile phone putt putt with ;).

I wasn't going to mention finger...

H/cap Change: Out 0.6 from 7.6 to 8.2. I needed to shoot 4 over at Coolum to avoid going out. That was never going to happen.

I had a good day with the driver on Friday and it became very inconsistent for the following two days. My current misses are big misses and could be to either side; that's not something that I'm used to, and it left too much work to put together a decent score. Not that the irons were great. They were either hot (more birdies than I'm used to) or ordinary.

I was happy with the short game overall, but I didn't get it in position enough to use it, as I had full shots or pitchs in to recover too many times instead of chipping.

Next rounds: Possibly next Saturday in a 4BBB with Oxy.
