Looking for some LH irons for my brother, who wants to spend some of his upcoming work bonus on some reasonable quality gear.

Shovels will be OK, since he averages about 100 or so on your typical par 72. He borrows our dad's irons when he heads out for a hit, which I think are reg flex, but I think he'd be able to manage with stiffs.

4-PW should suffice.

Budget about $150 to 200. I saw a set of Apex Edge Pros for $189 BIN on the Bay, but they'll be too much club for him.

Cheers. :)

Still looking...I'm making some enquiries on some 02 Big Berthas on the Bay, but always open to offers on here.

I know they probably wont suit but to go with the other couple of items I could throw in my old Titleist DCI 990's with DG S400 shafts for say, $50. They're a bit dinged up after 10 years of use but just thought I'd throw it out there. 1/2" over standard and 2 degrees upright.

I did see them in another thread, LH. Thought is they'd be too much club for him, but he might be OK with it simply because of the price. Will email you in a moment.

Okay, my brother has tried to persevere with the 990s but told he last week that he wants something more shovel like...

$150 budget, 4-P, reg, stiff or uniflex steel shafts...that's pretty much a summary of the criteria.

Yes to Gumtree (there is a guy selling a reasonable set but being a little difficult to haggle with), no to Balmain Golf...I'd rather try here though.
