View Full Version : Special: Naga award for champs

Forget who is going to win the Champs.

Who is going to take away the major prize.

I read someone in the "Terms and Conditions", once you have received this prestigious award, you cannot accept it again.

I think a committee should be formed by Courty, Haysey and Tomson to review this.

Who is going to take away the major prize.

Do it scientically, firstly review the last six months of ProShop thread-starters, assigning ...

5 points for 'Wanted - Putter'
3 points for 'Wanted - Driver'
2 points for 'Wanted - Wedge'
1 point for 'For Sale - Need to fund purchase of ...'

Then add 50 points for each youtube clip, featuring someone chopping up the course.

I was thinking of making the drive up on the Sunday arvo just to see you receive this award again.

As someone who who has gone close a couple of times but never managed to actually reach the dizzying lows, I'm happy for you to keep it for life Bob.

I might try to win this award just to get my 73 degree turned 69 degree wedge back ...

but then I heard that the current trophy holder is almost unbeatable ...

The committee is meeting this afternoon to discuss this very issue. I know how I plan to vote.

Just imagine how boring your life would be without this award bob. Hardly see you mentioned apart from this great award. Live it up man. Or get lessons. :)

Bob didn't deserve the NAGA; it was put upon him after the NQ cartel conspired against him.

From memory Ray had the lowest 2 round score with a donut on the Sunday.

From memory Ray had the lowest 2 round score with a donut on the Sunday.

So does this mean that the award is not for the lowest score and selected on a range of criteria by a panel? Sweet, looks like the award is yours Bob.

Do you want to win Most Improved this year? Say the word and it's yours.

For sure, I'm on my lowest handicap ever, I'm a shoe in. Hold on, it's all coming back to me, it was never about who actually improved the most, it was one part improvement, one part popularity contest.

The NAGA should be whoever come last at the Champs, not selected on a range of criteria, and if it isn't will eventually go the way of the Most Improved. Such is the way of things. I'm only interested in the main trophy which is why I'm letting my handicap blow out.

Hold on, it's all coming back to me, it was never about who actually improved the most, it was one part improvement, one part popularity contest. Unfortunately, the collective brain of the forum members couldn't handle anything more complicated than a popularity contest. Maybe you could start a poll for who should win the matchplay plate.

Random number generator to pick member to win matchplay?

Naga is so much more than just coming last. It is also covered by being completely inept all the time.

Matchplay - Assign everyone a number between 1 and 45 and wait for the Powerball to drop.

NAGA - Assign all 45 numbers to Solarman.

AndyP
30th August 2011, 06:07 PM
That powerball idea is stoopid. It will never work.

Where's the spoon sig?

It was a constant battle replacing it after e took it down every 5 minutes, so I put the pink 'NAGA' in his profile. He can't get rid of that one. ;)

Yep, that seals it... I propose we rename the trophy to the 'Solarman Perpetual Trophy' & perpetually award it to Solarman....

That should be interesting going thru the scanner with his other electric vibration doodads that he takes on trips.

Only because you give those doodads to the baggage handlers beforehand to smuggle in his luggage, presumably...

I've got a Panthers jersey set for packing in the luggage, and I'm not bogan buck toothed.

Not that it excuses NAGA though. ;)
