Wondering if anyone has had experience purchasing golf gear from Japan (or Jap gear elsewhere for that matter).

I feel the need to home the Epons I got from here in an Epon bag.

I know of tour spec golf but not really any others.

Have used tourspec. Easy transaction and super quick delivery.

Sorry not sure of any others.

Cheers,
Waz

I'd pm petethepilot or Supo who lives there.
He has a mountain of quality gear!

I've bought from one place, lastagolf I think it was called. Many years ago but very good service and quality.

Rodders, here is a starting point (global.rakuten.com/en/category/sports_outdoor/golf/bags/candy_bag/). Rakuten is a great site for buying JDM gear. There are currently no Epon bags in there but troll thru it and you might find something suitable. I have seen new Epon bags in Singapore. Great looking but not cheap ie. $650 AU or so. Supo67 is the Guru of JDM stuff. PM him and he will fill you in (real name Stewart) He lives in Tokyo although he comes from Bondi.

BTW I have a friend who is selling a used Epon 202 15* FW cheap. Let me know if you are interested.

Pete

Thanks Pete. Great info.

Just got a r11 fw and put the nunchuck thing in it so will see how that runs for now.

Cheers.

rodders, i recently moved back to oz after 20 years in japan.
i have a lot of contacts over there and am happy to help if you need a hand.
not sure that i could find a much better price on new epon bags, but used clubs without doubt cheaper than anywhere else.
good luck, i love those epon bags too.

btw; quick thread hijack, does anyone else feel that the ads for epon in English language golf mags look cheap and nasty and do a disservice to the brand?

New release Fall/Winter 2011 Epon bags.
These tend to sell out quick.

Unbelievable bags - in looks and price.

Dont think I could justify dropping around a grand on bag though. I wonder if anyone buys these in the hope of selling at a profit later?

not that easy to get JDM stuff outside japan.
rakuten is fine, but ur paying the screaming for it most times.
tourspec is easily the best place to get new goods at comp. pricing,i know the prices here , and they are spot on. cheaper most times than listed pricing.
if u guys wat used gear form JP id suggest the forum at TSG, theres always good stuff to go and the guys on there are good, they all know thier gear very well and u can get some top stuff.
i buy-sell trillions / buzzilions on the site and ive never had an negative issue ...., ever.
easily the best site for JDM

or u cud raid my stash and come away shaking ur head in disbelief as PTP has done.

hope that helps

So in other words you just want us to go to TSG and buy your stuff!

Yes, great gear at a great price :)
TSG I found to be priced well. I asked for a quote for the JDM ghost spider & it was $100 more shipped thru progolf vs TSG thru Tario.

I just got a JDM stingray ghost through TSG. They charged $36 US for shipping and I thought that was very good.

I'd rather buy Supo's stuff than yours Blakey! He also has 10 times as much as the rest of us and charges realistic prices (as realistic as JDM gear can be!!!!)

Why else would i have a shortcut to TSG Pro shop in my browser toolbar?
( so i can see what you buy off Supo next, then i get it off you even cheaper)

ha... thast where it ends up !

actually ive kinda gone more vertical than horizontal with gear now
stick to a few brands and try thier previous lines
like yamaha for example.
just the absolute nuts thier golf gear. id rate thier over all range as the best there is .
every year thier drivers top the sales in JP and thier irons sell out on release.
im saturated with thier stuff.
O/S tho , people just think they make motobikes and pianos.

thier irons.... there is NOTHING better, theres few equals, but nothing better
i have 5 sets of thier rons with differnt shafts dating back to 08
its them and miuraisms now.
