Iain and I are doing our rematch this Sunday and need an early am time. Knowing nudges do an early Sunday comp can any of the nudgee mafia host us or let me know if there's some spare spots please. Thanks in advance jaybam

Nope not paying 40 for social hit at oxley sorry. It ain't worth that. What's Helene ale worth.

Yeah i thought that when you said $40. Bit steep for Oxley of all places.

Helensvale is $20 bibbitybargain! It's not a bad track.

Sounds good to me. Just check with iain but I could handle the drive from Ippy. What time kpac?

Helensvale eh? Advantage short, straight hitter.

kpac
9th August 2011, 11:14 AM
Mate, will need to convince the other two. But there are full groups available on a pretty regular basis between 6:07 and 7:52? is that the sort of early you're after?? There are later times as well (but not a common.)
I'll PM Hux and see where he stands. It's about 45 mins from Brisbane to the course as it's only just off the Highway on the way south.

Did you see the list of courses in the mix? Oxley/Nudgee/Carbrook/Gailes... I'd imagine they game play would be about the same??

yes, all of those are harder and longer than Helensvale. It's just an observation.

5399m par 70 helensvale ACR 64
6240m par 72 oxley ACR 72
6280m par 73 gailes ACR 73
5988m par 71 nudgee ACR 71

Either works for me. Helensvale will be ok.

Is it a comp? I'm off to practice my hybrid tee shots!!

There's a 4ball comp on. Social play allowed within the sunday comp though, so i'm easy.

Early Wolston Park times should be available in the comp FWIW.

don't laugh. Wolston Park is tougher to par than Helensvale.

Well come down and show us how easy it is then tough guy ;)

And maybe disclose that you're comparing "BLACK" marker tees (which we would't be using on a sunday) of the other clubs with the Blue marker tees at helensvale. If Oxley plays 6240 i must have played a different course!

So we are just awaiting a reply from the horrible Hux and we are go. 7 am would be great.

I'm busy this weekend. Played Helensvale once and it was fun. I only remember a few holes, the double-water-carry par 5 was cool. I think Iain is right to be practising his hybrid tee shots.

kpac

Driver works for me.... maybe that's admission of my length off the tee.

HUX... where are we mate?? I've got my finger on a 7:24 group... need to know whether to pull the trigger.

Helensvale has been knocked on the head. Lets get this nudgee round happening. I think Hux is sorting out an early group. I'm on mobile, can't organise. Jaybam/ian Helensvale have spots if u still want them, but we'll be playing at nudgee by the looks.

jaybam
9th August 2011, 06:25 PM
Ok jarro book me and iain in please if you can. Is it with other ozgolfers?

What was wrong with the helensvale option?

sorry chaps, i can't book you in using the online booking system as we have all the Nudgee mafia already booked in :(

There are only a few spots of four left .... 7:03. 7:17, 7:24 and 7:38 ... all off the 10th tee.

I suggest you call the office tomorrow and book if you really wanna play there this sunday.

jaybam
9th August 2011, 06:43 PM
Have hux and kpac booked in yet do you know?

Jarro
9th August 2011, 06:45 PM
No, i can't see their names on the sheet

jaybam

Ok will ring in the morning and try and get one of those groups. Cheers.

kpac
9th August 2011, 09:22 PM
sorry jb. Hux has commitments sunday so can't do the drive unfortunately. So I've left it with him to organise the nudgee round.

jaybam
10th August 2011, 06:32 AM
Just rang nudgee and they said the earliest they had was 10:05. Are they for real jarro or was your time sheet not up to date when you looked at it ?

Jarro
10th August 2011, 07:21 AM
There were earlier tee times there last night.

You guys are farting around too much :p

kpac
10th August 2011, 08:07 AM
This is a pain in the ass!
You can PM hux if you want and try convince him into Helensvale, but dont think he's fussed on the drive. There are plenty of spot left if you guys want to go as a 2, or open it up for a couple of ozgolfers to join.

Jaybam,

There are 4 x groups available at 7:03, 7:17, 7:24 and 7:38. All off the 10th tee. I suggest you call the office back and say that you have had a member look online and those groups are available.

Did you say in the comp? Did you call the office number or the pro shop? Call the office.

jaybam
10th August 2011, 08:37 AM
Nah **** it. Too much rooting around. Wasted enough time on this. Doesn't mean that much to me anyway. Make this comp even more of a farce. Iain you go through to the next round. I'm just going to play Saturday comp at my home course. Good luck mate. You probably should have won it last week anyway.
Cheers. Peace out. :) :) :)

For what. Making this years match play look even more crazy. Let's face it. Only one quarter final match has been played and the cut off was nearly two weeks ago.

Nothing to be sorry about mate. Good luck. And hey at the end of the day at least we tried lol

AndyP
10th August 2011, 09:21 AM
You've already commited to playing the match, but had a bit of a hassle organising it. Can't you just make a phone call?

jaybam
10th August 2011, 09:24 AM
Can't you just get your facts right ****. Made numerous phone calls. Wasted two days trying to organize times and things. I also took a days anual leave to play last week. Unlike you I have a job and can't keep making phone calls. What is it to you anyway. Not like your organizing this comp or anything. Oh that's right you are. Maybe that explains it. Wanker

BrisVegas

WTF brought on that rant and personal abuse. I don't have any facts wrong and you've just enforced my point. You've done well to make all this effort to get to this point, but according to Shaz you only need to make one more phone call to book a round for Sunday. I'm well aware of the hassle it has caused you so far, so why waste that effort?

Iain

In the last two days there have been 18 pms sent from my inbox and 13 received on this matter. Have rang six different golf courses and nudges twice. Not wasting anymore of my time and money. You say only one more phone call and make it look like I am sooking. That's the reason for the rant.

AndyP
10th August 2011, 09:55 AM
That's how you read it. I'm not implying that you are sooking at all. I just wouldn't go to all that effort and then not make it happen, but that's me.

Perhaps you're on to something. I think AP and Jaybam are so cranky because they are undernourished, you just have to look at the poor little fellas to know that, they are so skinny. We need to get a care package to them.

You are very thoughtful. That's why I like you. But no need to worry. The ass is about to fall out if the banana market when the next season comes in. So I will be able to afford to eat them again. Don't know what your going to do though. Sell up now mate while the goings good lol.
