Good to see tiger playing a little bit of attacking golf. From the look on the footage, that par 3 might as well play as a par 4 for the weekend. Won't be many pars or birdies on that hole.

Goes from +2 to +13 in the space of 6 holes. Wonder if the pressure from last week got to him?

Scott looks to be in a good place, 2 under through 14 holes or there abouts. Gonna be interesting when the kids get out to play. With the ,length of the course, it could be custom made for the likes of day and mcilroy. They've been quoted as saying that it's not a long course!

I don't know what to think of Tiger. He was awesome for the first 5 holes. I am not a swing guru but I am not fan of his new swing. They showed it side by side and he looks very squat compared to his old setup. I know the whole knee business, but it just looks ugly.

This might sound strange but the new shoes do him no justice either. He used to look like he was ready to play and now he looks like a weekend chopper wearing sneakers with trousers. He just doesn't look as intimidating or holding a presence like he once did.

I honestly hope he competes again. He showed signs of it overnight but then it just left him. Perhaps it's a good sign for the future.

Watching the replay at the minute, a game of golf being challenged by the pro's who we are all aware of as winners etc. A good selection on of working 'club' pros playing as well .Last year only one of these made the cut. Would be refreshing to see a n underdog crack the title but it is norgoing to happen. Rory has doe himself an injury may tough it out for two more rounds but to win a fairytale ending but not a reality.

Guess I'm the only one who is looking at the course. What is everyone's opinion on the colour contrast between the zoysia tees and fairways against the green couch rough?

I've always liked it and did the same thing on a golf course I used to run in Indonesia 11 years ago. I also used it on the bunker faces. We needed a strong grass up there as we received 9.8m of rain during the 2000 calender year. Zoysia is a great playing surface.

4°24'38.87" S 136°52'16.50" E

No boundaries, just golf holes pushed out of virgin jungle. At the time it was the only Coore Crenshaw course outside of the US and was built as a recreation facility for the employees (12,000) of Freeport McMoran at a cost of US$25 million. The course was in the lowlands at the base of the Puncak Jaya range with Mt Puncak Jaya the highest mountain in Indonesia. The main mine is Grasberg which is the richest gold and copper mine on earth up above the golf course at 14,000 feet. You could stand at the lowlands and look up to the range and see snow as well as one of the few tropical glaciers on earth. They have the worlds biggest everything, just an incredible place to see. The course was part of the Sheraton Timika Hotel.

The course is Klub Golf Rimba Irian. The hole in the bottom right corner is the 14th, a short Par 4 rated in the Top 500 holes in the world.

The course presents up very well. I was talking to a bloke out in ATL yesterday who is attending Saturday. He played the course several weeks/months ago and said the zoysia was fantastic to play off. I think his exact words were...this heat resistant zoysia is going to revolutionise golf in the South. Not sure who he pinched that line off though. He gave me the impression that the zoysia was, in relative terms, a new grass type there at AAC...?

Interesting scores overnight. Well done to John Senden leading the Aussie charge, stringing 2 good rounds together looks like it has been a challenge out there! Anybodies major from here.

glad Stricker has come back to the feild in big way

dissapointing 2 rounds for most of the aussies. Jason day made allot of brdies but made gave them back. Well done Senden. He has a chance, great ball striker just never been a great putter. I taped and was going to watch tonight but could resist having a peak at the scores.

adam scott at 2 under right ion the mix also. Even Allenby at 2 over is only 7 back. Needs a 67 to get back into though

If I was betting person (and betting on golf is pure nuts if you ask me) I think Furyk is the man, one back, Steady as a rock

winning score will be 8 or 9 under

Awesome by Bradley. That triple on 15 must have been like a dagger in the guts but he did enough to get to the playoff while Dufner melted down.

Could be worse I suppose. Could support parra and never had a chance in the first place ;)

Nice top-10 finish for Adam Scott (7th). Senden T19.

Scott's 2nd top 10 finish in a major for the year. Nice.

The first major for a belly putter as well.

a pretty good final round for scott too, especially given the difficulty of the course.

Cabrera won the Masters with one a couple of years ago.

I don't think he used it as a belly though, he didnt anchor it in his gut.

Does it really matter how he used it? It sure isn't a "normal" length putter so I would assume that would make it fall into the realm of long/belly putters.

Yep. I would think so.

Your just jealous. A belly putter for you would be 34 inch the way your gut hangs down lol

I know this is the wrong thread, but I agree - coz Parra never even look like scoring a point atm whenever they have the ball...

AND if you are both a Parra Eels supporter and also a Sydney Swans supporter like myself, one cant help feeling like it's time to follow a different sport .

Back to the US PGA... I didn't see the final round btw so how did Sendon and Scott fair on the final day?

Did their putting hold together or did they both get the staggers? I know Scott had a 3-jerk in there on the 18th - to conclude his 3rd round.
