The list is now out. Report here (http://courses.golf.com/top-courses-and-resorts/top-100-world-courses-2011.html).

Royal Melbourne (West) is up one spot to 13.

Lost Farm makes a debut in the 80's. :)

I hate this list...so US biased it is NOT funny.

From 100 Panelists...72 are from the US & Canada (67/5 split), while there are 14 from Scotland, England, Ireland & Wales combined. Australia get a paltry 4, while Japan gets 6 and the rest are all single representatives.

See what I mean?

Agreed. There are definitely too many panelists from Scotland and Wales.

Not gonna bite...

Let's just say that it is heavily biased, and how many Canadian courses feature in the Top 100?

Who cares?

Why isn't Freo Public in there...?

not sure what we should expect for a US magazine?

out of interest was Ramsey on that list of reviewers from Australia, because obviously if he was then its down to 3.

Yes...Ramsay is on it.

Glaring omission - Spyglass Hill.

Didn't they ask a couple of years ago not to be included?

Spyglass Hill dropped off this year, was on the list until the last one - 2009.

RM East also fell off this time, after sitting at #87 last time.

I thought that was Pine Valley.

No reason for Spyglass not to be on it ... its right there with Pebble and Cypress Point.... and there are many who rate it above them.

Spyglass Hill is a nice track, but not in the same league as Cypress Point

No, not Pine Valley. There are some courses that ask not to be rated, but mostly they just don't make themselves specially available to raters.

Why the f**k would Spyglass ask not to be rated? ratings are the bread and butter of a public course's marketing.

Played Royal County Down a few weeks back, the sun shined (does not do very often in N.Ireland) and the course was in spectacular condition!

haha, I am back in Sydney now playing the public courses here. The only thing I miss about my native country is the amazing golf courses and the Guinness!

I played it in late July. Weather was good and the course fantastic.

Nice one! On a sunny day the views of the mountains and sea are stunning making the golf course all the more enjoyable!

It was great. I played 7 rounds in 5 days in N.I. without a drop of rain. Actually had to buy sunscreen!!
