Whilst cruising through Golf World Capalaba yesterday saw the following trade ins for sale;

Titleist 735s 3 to P in very good condition (only the PW showed any signs of diming) for $339
Hogan Apex Pros 3 to EW Apex 4 shafts I think, in fair condition for $149

Hogan Apex Pros 3 to SW Apex 4 in good nick, no price on them

Power Golf in Castle Hill have some pretty reasonable prices on a few second hand iron sets. Off the top of my head:

Wilson Staff FG Tour 3-PW w/ S300s, VGC for about $420
Mizzy MP57s 4-PW w/ S300s, VGC for around $400

I bought a set of i10s in great nick for $349.

Plus most of the stuff on their rack of used drivers, FWs, hybrids and wedges didn't seem too badly priced either.

Occasionally during their sales during the major the stuff's 20% off, so have snagged a couple of good bargains.

I'm going back over there tomorrow evening to get the shaft in the i10 8 iron replaced (I found a dent under the grip), so will take more copious notes of what's there.

There was a set of good nick RH Nike VR Split Cavity's (Retail Model) with DGS300 for around $400, If they are still there it would be a few months and may take less.

You boys could have bought a great condition set of Mizzy MP68's off Canuckdownunder here the other day. I got them for $300 with pickup. That is a steal as the KBS shafts and the grips alone was $200 worth. Guys like Canuck look after their stuff and are good to buy off. Much more reliable than the Bay!

Cash Converters at Stafford have 4 CC yellow SM Vokeys 48*, 54, 60 and one other at $29 each and a 52* red SM. They all have pure grips and the grooves seem to be good, unsure if there real or fakes.

Also whilst out and about I saw 710mb and 710cb demo 6 irons at Ray Drummond for $50 each. Yes they were DEMO, but both in atleast 9/10 condition

I won't get a chance tomorrow but will probably be out there sometime Friday. I only had a cursory look, but they seemed in good nick and I couldn't see any diming or other significant clubface wear. I can't recall whether they were MK1 or 710 versions actually. I have both of your mobiles, I'll see if I can take a decent photo of them if you like. Let me know who wins the arm wrestle!:wink:

Grooves were very good and overall in good nick, one or two had a little surface rust in the Cavity but nothing bad, worth a look for the money, and I think they have been there for a month or 2 so you may be able to get them even cheaper.

Had a look at these and they looked pretty good, got them for $157.50. Shaft length is right for me (+1/2") but am not sure on shaft flex? Does anyone know how the flex was indicated on these? I am guessing and hoping they are Regs.

There was also a set of Lefty Hogan Apex CFT 3 to SW in pretty good nick with $150 on them. Shafts were Hogan Apex, but couldn't find the flex indicator on them.

Could it be the colour of the label, my Ping I3 Blades had red labels, and I had to get Ping to change a shaft in my I3 3 wood from a stiff to an X-stiff and it had a different colour label.

The bottom label seems to be where the flex indicator is. Mine has an R at the bottom of it, but not indication that it means flex or anything else. From what I can see on eBay some other I5s with the same model shafts (TT CS Ultralites) have an S in the same spot, so I guess that is the answer.

A faded Titleist stand bag with a set of Callaway Big Bertha 2004 irons 4-10 + W( one inch over standard. ) Callaway forged 58* and a Cleveland CG11 60* for $99 at Cashies Toombul. It was full of tees and balls but that's another story.
