In my last 16 games I have gone from 1 to 6...and will be on 8 in 3 more rounds unless I find a game. What is your worst run? - Come on, make me feel better.

A reserve club champs around the corner? ;)

I have gone from 4 to 7 in 5 games with the distinct chance of getting another one back next round. Bordering on embarrassing, but just keep throwing in stupid holes each round.

In my last 16 rounds I've gone from 11.3 to 15.1 and it's not looking like coming back down any time soon.

Had a bad run of rounds in the 90's and few over 100. Not bad for cricket!

Last 19 rounds, 13 to 17. Two more similar rounds, 21 as I have a 12 and 13 dropping off and being replaced by +23 rounds.

From 5 to 10 in 6 months. I blame the OZgolf hack sticks I played with.

I'm protecting 6 rounds in my next 7 and I'm in the middle of the longest break from golf that I can remember. I could be about to hit that bad run.

I'm also on that precipice.

A mate of mine, now just a 5-10 round a year player, went from 7 to 18 without breaking his handicap once.... and it could end up being 21 after his next two drop off.

I played on Wednesday off 5, and shot 28 over.....

Havent played golf in over 3 months, joined a new club, and expect this wednesdays score to be somewhere between 15-25 over.

I think i will blow out to double figures pretty quickly.

I went from 3 to 12 and played like shit for a decade from memory i played 30 rounds without playing to my handicap once:( when the new handicap system came in I went to 17 but I have turned my game around with some lessons and lots of practice and heading back to single figures.....I hope:)

I thought it was only me. 8 at beginning of April, and just hit 12. With the new rules, I can't go any higher until April 2012.

FFS GA, you sold us this USGA system saying the handicaps better reflect the current playing ability, and then add a new rule that contradicts that.

Amateurs and idiots. :smt013

More importantly, what's your anti-handicap, Dotty?

A few more rounds and Rubin will go from 22 to 37.

The bad run started about 18 months ago. Was off 5. A combination of not playing as much and when I do I don't really care too much. Just out there to have fun. That being said it is now out to 11 and still going.

Woo hoo, still in B grade!

He'll definitely be a bandit and be stealing the money.

When i turned 33, I was playing off 2, and had had at least 1 sub par round every year since I was 17. Played pennants and won more than i lost.

Then, i had a marraige break-up. Never played pennants again.

I went from 2 to 7 on the old handicapping system (thats 50 bad rounds)... then had 3 decent rounds and was back to 5. Gave it up for a while because I couldnt play to it.

Now 46 .. playing off 7. Havent shot sub par since. Havent stopped trying.

Now there is a slump.

Like many, I had a few years in the wilderness without regular golf and went out from 3 to 8. That was under the old system, so was heaps of 0.1's back. So frustrating to lose touch and forget how to score. Still hit the ball ok, but lost the ability to scramble and save pars.

Over the past few years with semi-regular golf, I've settled back to a 6-ish handicap which I'm happy enough with. I haven't broken par for a while, but I have had par rounds and sub-ACR rounds at Brooky.

I'm heading back into a gypsy golf period again with just ozgolf rounds, so who knows how bad the slide will be this time....

I've gone from 12 to 17 in about 20 rounds. Broken 80 once in that, plenty of high 80's and 90's in those 20 rounds. It depresses me...

Won't happen soon I suppose, isn't it a maximum 4 shots in 12 months ?

Maybe this handicapping system is giving a truer reflection of your real ability, or that you only really try when you are playing well, and lack heart when you hit a bad shot or play a few bad holes.

Or, I could be just stirring the pot ;)

This is a thread to warm the cockles of my heart, or maybe the sub cockles.

In past few months I've drifted from an 8 handicap to almost playing off 14. Still hitting it the same, but can't post a score. I'm actually toying with the idea of taking a few weeks to try and recharge the batteries.

Interesting stuff lads with the handicaps... There must be some ridiculous nett scores showing up no?? By the look of what you guys are stating, if you play somewhere like your capable of you might hit 45 odd points??

peter_rs

49 pts for a single stab (27 marker), 60 nett in stroke (12 marker), are the lowest scores I have seen in recent times.

and therein lies another problem, last time I snuck out to 5 I shot a 5 under 67 to finish with 46 points...so I was a burglar for a while

Yeah that sounds like crap to me... Can't even have a fair bet with your mates anymore unless you play off the beater... That sucks
