I went out for a bash with our new Club Champ this arve. We started on the front and played the 9 hole chook run. We both chopped it and finished with 15 pts each. The last few holes were painfully slow behind several groups of loud drunken bogan social players. They continued on to the back 9, so we played the front again. Our targets were simply to beat our score from the first go round. I had it easily covered to be 15 after 7 holes, and finished with 20. :roll:

I'll cut and paste from every other week ... 33 points in Wed. stableford.

Back to last summer's WITB and things are starting to gel again. 20 out, 13 in (which was actually 3 points for 10-14, then 10 points by parring the last four).

Pulled every drive (at least it is consistent now), still can't hit GIRs, but 9 up-and-downs helped.

Shot 29 points in tuesday's stableford in gale force winds.. Still shit effort.

Played individual stableford at Cairns GC this morning with Solarman, Tomson and our newly crowned Club Champ.

I finished up shooting 39 pts even with a wipe (unplayable) and a 3-putt on a GIR. The FIRs look a bit ordinary, but many of the misses were in a good position within inches of the fairway. The scorecard in quite a story with 7 x three pointers and a four pointer. Should be off 7 next week.

Putted much better, didn't lose so many off the tee which is always helpful. Bit of a disappointing finish with a double, but a pretty good round all in all.
Still showing signs of improvement, with more still to come.

Should drop to 21 (21.8 -> 21.1)

Had 32 pts off +1 (75 scratch).

Course was playing very tough, very strong winds and greens measuring 11.8 on stimp.

Putting getting better, working on a Rotella technique of 'one look' and pull the trigger, similar to how a bastketballer takes a shot.

30 points at Lynwood. The wind started blowing a bit as we turned onto the 10th, which made things a bit interesting.

My game was pretty average. Made some good putts but cancelled those out with a few 3 putts. Drove the ball pretty well but my short iron play was rather poor.

Had a win today in a grade 78-13=65. The plan was to mainly hit hybrid and 4 wood off the tee to find some fairways but that didn't work out only hit 1 for the day and that was with the driver :lol:

Kingston SE Par round on Saturday arvo. All Square after 18 holes. 86 gross for nett 72, Front nine 44 and back nine 42. happy with the result. puttedf well and Used the #3 Metal off the tee all day and Knox blades with Nike shafts my travelling set in the boot and not my usual set.

I played Sat at Brooky with Nudgee & teckee. Did my usual trick of playing like a spaz when I bring guests. Driver lost the plot a bit, including a couple of domes into hazards off the tee on 8 & 18 FFS!

37 & 47 for 84. -5 in vs par. Putted ok, which was the only real highlight.

Next round.... Pac Harbour on 31/7 I think.
