Hey Everyone,
I have already done a bit of research but haven't really found the answers I am looking for so decided to put it to the ozgolf jury. Currently using a set of 690.cb and the inner HO in me is taking over. I noticed a set 695cb on ebay a few weeks ago started to explore them as a option a little more. They seem like a good set of irons. Already noted the difference ball flight and loft. Not flush with coin at the moment so was looking for a upgrade on the cheap side...

Should I sit tight on the 690.cb for now?

Have used both of these irons? If so, which do you prefer?

If not, what do you think of the 695cb vs the 690.cb...

Cheers

Andy

I.M.O the 690's were a long long way better than the 695's. To me the 695's all felt a bit clunky compared to anything say the 690's or 710's

695s were nice irons, the 690s probably easier to use.

If upgrading, either go blades (eg 690.mb) or AP2 (depending if you want easier or more challenge)

I used the 690.cb's for quite some time, they are excellent irons

I used a demo set of 695's and they were differant, dunno about better or worse, a step sideways perhaps.

If you like your 690's, maybe check out Mizuno MP range, the 60's are similar to the 690.cbs, bit better in my opinion. Even MP 30's, they are a bit older but awesome clubs.

i'd stick with the 690's and keep an eye out for some 710's cheap second hand. IMHO, the 695 & ZB were a bit weird looking, versus the classic shape of the 660,670,680,690,710 etc..

..unless of course the 695 work way better for you, in which case go nuts!

Thanks for the input everyone... Mizzies have crossed my mind for sure as well.... Managed to grab a set of rifles off eBay last night to explore further options with the 690. Was looking for something a little more forgiving at the moment, only just started back up after a long layoff. Have the odd bad shot in me at the moment, ( more than normal) I May look out for a set of AP1.

The 695 really grabbed my attention.. May have a custom paint job on the way for the 690's....

If you want more forgiving, grab some 755's, they are great. Slightly larger head in the long irons, and plenty of feel with the short irons
