Is anyone watching this? It's going to be a great finish.

Sergio has just gone Birdie, Birdie, Birdie, Eagle to join the lead with 9 holes to play. Awesome viewing.

dave1's concern is about the result being posted in the thread title.

Garcia lost on the fifth playoff hole.

His putting let him down. He had birdied that hole 7 times in a row

Saying that, he putted great to get there. He's a pretty decent putter again. He's second place will get him an Open start which is good to see.

I like his putting routine, somewhat Badds like. Spend the time reading it and then just walk up and fire. The Goose on the other hand is just plain hard to watch, you can see the pull coming a mile away.

Furyk is easily the worst to watch on the greens.

I like the practice stroke behind the ball whilst finishing the read, then pulling the trigger. There's plenty of merit in it.

Sergio misses from 4ft to lose...no surprise in that. (We Adidas poster boys ALWAYS seem to do that...)

But as MW said, at least he's getting himself in contention again!

I'd say it was closer to 6 foot and an easily missable putt. It was his first putt that was the problem.
