Ping G2 Hybrid, their first one that was like an iron. Hardest club to hit in the bag. My eye2 1 iron is easier to hit!

I've got the 2,3 &4. The 2 is one of my favourite clubs.

What about Tommy Armour T 100 (I think) oversize titanium irons?

Hybrids.
Extremely successful clubs, huge part of the club market. Hardly lemons.

Ugly but effective, another successful club that you would be hard pressed to classify as lemons.

I never tried one, they did look "funny" but lots of Pros used them it seems. Mostly cheap as chips these days though, so not a lot of love for them.

We must have the either the same set or a similar lemon at the end 'Fit.

wow!! You see a lot of people using them. I thought they must have been alright. I guess these days it's all about finding the right shaft/launch/weight etc etc..

Yeah i agree about the shaft, it just didn't have any oomph in it (for me)

Maybe i should've kept the head and Nunchucked it ;)

Mate of mine just bought one of these. Think he paid $300+ for it. Now is not the time to tell him he could have got a 910 for that....

I remember you saying how good it was :-)

Scotty Cameron Detour?

There were two types of detours and YES the one with the longer orange arrow/weighted section behind the sweet spot looked horrible.

The worst performing driver I got sucked into buying, was at Golfmart in 2005 - spent over $500 on that stupid 2005 ERC Fusion (one with the composite head and gold logo. It was the one that came out before the FT-3 Fusion. I took $180 on ebay to get rid of it. Never again...

Soon after this, the TM R580 purchased off ebay in 2007 was not much better. Both of those clubs really felt dead off the face. The Alpha V2 driver I'd had from late 2003 had to be more than 30m longer! My 3 wood went as far as both the Cally and the TM.

The day that harrison striper shaft snapped from my Alpha V2 driver, was a sad day as I couldn't get that shaft again. Now that club was the complete opposite to a lemon and got me to a 4 handicap in 2005/6.

Nike Str8Fit 3 Wood.

Just too hard to setup and way to hard to change shafts unless you bought Nike shafts . . .

MAC drivers. I remember Drummonds were really pushing them as the best thing ever. They had that dome in the sole that was supposed to do something special. In the end nobody could hit them and they were selling for something like $50.

Ghost of Christmas Future - reckon you'll see the Nitrogen-charged PowerBilt drivers in the bargain bin in about 2 months.

And at $50, I'm tipping you'd still be getting ripped to the tune of $40.
