My dad has a set of Henry Griffith with spaghetti graphite shafts and wishes to change irons. He is 70yrs old and plays off 18 and his lowest cap was 6.

Does anyone have a set of cavity backs to sell, with senior graphite shafts?

I'm thinking that these could work.

I have never used them but have heard good things about the FPs. I think PeteyD may have had a set at some stage. Probably more than you want to spend, but I helped a friend of similar vintage and handicap to your Dad into a new set of graphite shafted Callaway X24s. Boy did they lift his game! He had been using steel shafted X18s which he thought were good, the X24s have blown him away.

Might have a go at these instead. They will suit me soon if he doesn't like them.

Those Cobra Transitions you asked about look OK, but there are a couple of ring in shafts if you read the text at the bottom. Less than $200 would be a good pick up. They were released in 2009.

I saw that Dave and if I didn't tell my dad he wouldn't notice the different shafts.

Performance shouldn't be an issue. My point was that a mixed set would be worth less than a full original set.
