To be honest, I haven't made OZgolf matchplay the priority that it has been in previous years due to now having a full club membership and acknowledging that winning a handicap matchplay comp three years in a row isn't very realistic. I've been close to withdrawing a few times with pennants and now club champs clashing.

But, I'm still in and should give this match the attention that it deserves. Last time we played, it was a very high quality match. I think we both scored 40+ stableford points. There's no guarantee of that this time as we have both lost shots since then, but hopefully there is still some good golf involved.

I don't think Hux has many rounds in the leadup, and I may have the one or two, which is less than the usual.

I suppose I am the favourite, so GO ME!!

Yep not lots of golf lately for me. Been struggling with back (hence the DQ) and shoulders - 2 x rounds with NK last weekend with my shoulders locking up half way through the first round. Had some physio this week and started to swing more freely yesterday but still missed probably 6 fairways.

I will play the Saturday before the MP but not this week at all so if you get any games and practice in you will be firm favourite.

Even with a shocker before the MP I will not have a change upwards in playing hcp before Sunday week....PT 14 can be replaced at worse by PT 21. It could of course come down if I strike form from the layoff ;-)

Nah it will make no difference. Shit is shit regardless. Barely hitting irons at present but driver is being fairly kind. At least nudgee north is generous on fairways
