Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson have confirmed that they are going to play in the 2011 Aussie Open.

It will be interesting to see what other US players will decide to play.

I expect they will get a great field, based on the few who have accepted so far the field strength will give it pretty good world ranking points which no doubt will prompt even more players close to the top to line up.

Bubba has played in Aus on the Nationwide tour, I've seen one of his drives flush a spectator in the head!

Plus Fred Couples stating that his Captain's pick selections WILL play the Aust Open with him as a condition of being selected.

He said that this would include Tiger if picked.

Bubba lost a playoff in the Aussie Masters (to Allenby I think) after missing a putt about as long as his old fella.
