As the title suggests Newy GC will play host to the NSW Open for the next 3 years. This years event will be held the same week as the Presidents Cup November 14th to 20th.

That would be good as I have heard that Newcastle is one of the hiddenn gems of Australian Golf.

I am probably a little biased due to it being my home track, but yes it is a great course, that is not generally talked about too much!

I doubt it mate. I am not sure under what category I could fit? Ill probably have a crack at Pre-Q, although I dont play as well at the other tracks around here!

Time to suck up to the Board then and get them to put you forward for an exemption.

I'll have to put it in the diary to head down with the fam to Newy for a holiday and stay with my brother in Ellemore Vale.

whenever they played the Qld Pga at Emerald Lakes they always gave a couple of locals a run. Surely the club itself is deemed a sponsor and deserves a couple of its own as invites. and its good PR for the event to give it some local interest.

That is great news i am a member there and it is more than a hidden gem it is one of the greats especially when they quicken the greens up
