Upcoming Site Changes...

Hey all. I'm guessing you've noticed that a few changes are happening around here, all for the better. Well, this one has been a hard decision for me, but it's been made for the better of things I believe. As far as the running of ozgolf has gone I really haven't done much (read: anything) over the last few years. I've had a lot on my plate, and not having the technical know how to help out it's been pretty much up to Andy with a little help from Robyn to take care of things. Most of the help from Robyn has come in the form of communication with the server hosts etc as ozgolf has always been on her web space. When there's been problems that's been a bit of a pain in the butt for Andy.

After some discussion between Andy and I, I've decided, and he's agreed, to hand over Ozgolf to him. He's already done everything for this site for the last few years (with the exception of the stuff outside of his control) and now he'll have control over those other areas too. This is the reason for our server changes - it's moving to his own.

It's been an easy yet difficult decision for me. Easy because Andy has been taking care of things for years now, with some assistance from others as well. But not much by me. It's felt wrong for me to consider myself the site owner when I can barely work out how to ban someone. It's been hard because this was something Leon and I started together. But things move on. But one of the things we've talked about is that I'll be holding onto and paying for the ozgolf domain (that's a real bank breaker).

So it's time for Andy to change his status to 'Site Owner' instead of Admin Team.

What you've got to do is cut the hamstring on the back of his leg right at the bottom. He'll never play golf again, because his weight displacement goes back, all his weight is on his right foot, and he'll push everything off to the right. He'll never come through on anything. He'll quit the game.
