I have discussed a number of options for membership with them, even the scenario of placing it on hold for a while. They have told me not to make a decision just yet. I'll know in a few days what my intentions are.

At the moment my fiancée is working awkward hrs. She starts before 6am some days and finishes after 9pm on
the other days. Given the fact that I'm also doing 40+ hrs in the city mon - fri, we don't get to see each other all that much. It is the first time in almost 26 years that golf has had to take a back seat for a while. It really does feel like a shock to my system, let me tell you... But I always knew inevitably that one day, this scenario would become a reality.

That is true mega, but I need to look at achieving the 'own' time in a more cost-effective fashion. It may not be like this forever, but until we settle a few lingering debts and then settle into the house/mortgage, this is the way it has to be and I've delayed this move for as long as possible, ozgolf champs this year were almost ruled out.

Lucky for me that I went, seeing I won the thing. But it was a very close call, me deciding to go.

Nuffie
11th May 2011, 11:36 AM
Maybe a lot sooner than that... the 2nd decision has now been made:

Hartfield membership put ON HOLD for at least six months (for review at a later stage).

As per Mega's inside intel, the club is not taking additions to the 'social membership' category for the remainder of this year and instead pushing for more 6 and 7 day members, as they need to fill their weekend slots.

Social membership also wouldn't help my ozgolf cause and me wanting to play any games away from Harty, which is what I like to do, maybe once a month.

Nuff-said... it's done.

Lets get this thread back on track now and focus on the +ves:

Zeus, let's catch up for a relaxing social hit, not this week but maybe next week.

And anyone else who cares to tag along.

I wont be re-activating my AGU handicap for at least another month or two, so it's prob going to have to be somewhere public.
