Dumb things I did today.

I have a Scotty Newport. Nice putter, in top nick.

It's a little upright...

I don't own a putting bending machine - also don't know anyone who does... I own a vice, a rather nice one - and I have some pieces of wood to use as soft-jaws...

I's a clubmaker of sorts - I reckon I can flatten the lie on this expensive putter with a couple of pieces of wood and a vice.

So what I should do is have 3 or 4 glasses of Barossa Shiraz with some golf mates and discuss how I can mold my vice and some wood into an improvised putter bending machine... then we should go downstairs to the workshop and make that shit happen.

Simple answer is "No, I can't flatten this putter with a vice and some pieces of kindling."

Found an old ball near a tee block when walking off to put driver into bag , thought i might throw it up & swing the driver at it Baseball style (was hitting away from the course into vacant land) , hit it flush with the shaft close to the hosel resulting in the head going further than the ball bounced off a toilet block roof!

Now searching the net for EPIC 68 in reg!!!

I did exactly the same thing with an Epic shaft a few years ago.

I've seen it done with a putter after 4 consecutive 3 and 4 putts on the 4th at Cairns. Straight over the first row of houses into the ether it went. Putter head landed in the bunker.

Doh! I had a mate do that with a putter when we were teenagers never do find the head.
