Gentleman, as many have pointed out 24/04 is Easter Sunday. So we'll have to go for a round on the Monday (ANZAC Day).

Tee-off will be 9.40 am. I don't believe there is a comp on, so the more the merrier.

Guys I'm flex on either day; whichever day the most can get to; the only thing I would ask is if we make it ANZAC day could we tee off around 9am as I will be going to Dawn Service in Mandurah.

Tee off is 9.40 on the Monday boys.

I didn't think it would be very busy on the sunday (easter) but apparently there's not a lot of slots left.

Is there a comp on? Adlo may be keen if the city is closed down?

maybe. They probably look at it and think 5 day weekend, no comp means more green fee players.

easiest way to play it..... Look at where Yoss hits it, then look at where I hit it. Then try to play to any other part of the fairway.

If there isn't a 4th. I'll see if one of the guys I played with down there would like a game. A young Irish guy, plays of +2.

Thanks Rubin... im swapping a 3 wood with outcast while hes here as well so i can kill 2 birds so to speak. A few birdies would be nice too.... hope its not too windy. I just hope i beat Yoss. Chances are he'll be using a set hes never used before in a flash new yellow bag.... a bit of a lottery there.

i've played with Yoss twice now, and 2 different sets each time.

To be fair to the young fella, there are a number of WAnkers who are a worse than that.......

im sure there may be some more interest mate, but the only other time that was close is (or was) 7.50. after that, about 10.40 or something.

Im considering the saturday morning, which i have just found out, there is a comp on. Stableford off whites.

So if there is some interest in that, let me know, and we might get a group going.

Okay, flying out in a few hours, got the golf stuff packed including 3 wood for TommyG...

I will have some access to Ozgolf during the holiday but, if anyone desperately needs to talk to me to change or suggest some golf plans, TommyG and IDGG have my mobile number

At this stage I understand that we have a game booked at KB on 25th 9:40 am and a game booked at The Vines on 01 May for 08:30; still keen to play on the afternoon of Fri 29th Apr with IDGG at the Vines if that is possible and still planning a game at Margaret River sometime between 26 - 28 Apr if anyone is keen to join me..

See you chaps very soon

the way I see it nut you have 3 options:
1) Dont ask... Tell.
2) Lie. IM sure you can say your working and instead come down for a hit.
3) Don't come and play and miss out on an enjoyable day.

33 pts here with 3 wipes, not sure about the others.... Cheers to the boys for a great day out. Great to meet you Outcast, very very solid golfer.
Turns out I've played a few rounds with tommyg and didn't even know it, nice to catch up again mate.

As usual 13 ripped me a new one and almost ruined the back nine for me.... Starting to enjoy KB though.

I'll say yes & yes!! Shot 85 and took driver on holes I really shouldn't have!!

36 putts which is shite really but actually thought I'd putted okay for a change; shows what I know!!

mike
25th April 2011, 09:18 PM
Mate, get a broomy.

adlo
25th April 2011, 11:30 PM
I putted well around KB last week for 38 putts, just a ton of long putts due to some bad iron play, and a heap of 6-10 footers roll over the edge.

Putted worse the next day at Mandurah, on smaller greens, and had 31 putts.

KB can make your putting stats look horrible (as can the Vines and Joondalup).

You go to hell & you die!!!

Wash that foul mouth of yours thoroughly with plenty of soap!!!

I think he means write "broomy" on the bottom of your putter with liquid paper.

Outcast
25th April 2011, 11:56 PM
Honestly; I was quite shocked at my putting stats today as I actually putted quite well; majority of my two putts were from longish range with tapins to finish them off but, still not making putts from under 10 feet very often!!

Still thinking about a belly putter - oh the shame of it :-(

rubin
26th April 2011, 12:58 AM
the greens were a challenge today. Compared to normal they were slightly quicker, and its quite obvious they've had some attention, but still not 100% true as they normally are.

Oucast is a bloody good ball striker, and for your first effort putting on the KB greens, it was a good effort. Even the greens require a little bit of local knowledge to read sometimes.

I didn't keep score past about the 5th, but was a good day out.

Thankyou Rubin most kind of you;

Your own play was pretty solid & certainly belies that 22 handicap of yours; with a little more control of that driver your handicap should come screaming down.

Looking forward to another hitout at The Vines, with hopefully a little more practice between now & then.
