As far as I know the DSG is meant to give high bounce when square and low when opened up.

Is there a grind that does the opposite?

Yeah I guess, silly question, I may come up and chat to you about what it is that I seek. For my tour level short game.

high bounce when square and low when opened up.

i'd be interested to hear the advertising spiel associated with this.

i'm assuming that most choppers end up buying high bounce in an effort not to bury their wedges, then find themselves skinnying balls thru greens once they open the face.

how they make that sound sexy, buggered if i know.

There are two ways to open up the face - set the leading edge square to the target and lay the face upwards with the handle dropping to the right (shaft level or behind the club head); turning the handle to put the toe behind the heel with the shaft leaning forwards. My understanding of the DSG is that it is designed for the first method of opening the face, which is how to play from sand and thick rough.
