Congratulations to Cameron Smith on winning the National stroke play championship today. :)
Unfortunately it has cost me a Bettinardi putter.

Razaar, how could you bet against young Cam? The kid is something incredibly special.

Bet against Cam? I told him I would give him a putter he has been trying to get off me, if he did something special. This is special.

A mate came back today from that and said the course was insane,
Perfect condition, Perfectly laid out - very bloody hard.
He plays off 1 and shot 83 and 85 - shows the quality of golfers there !

The English player he beat in the playoff had 4 birdies in the first 6 holes. Cam birdied 3 of the last 5 holes and the playoff hole. Not too shabby for a 17 year old.

Just as well they didn't play it at Wantima then since he can't make birdies there.

a 13yo won the ladies amateur. It does not really surprise me that a girl that age can compete at that level but to win is a different matter
